The Arab League is slated to participate in a symposium in Abu Dhabi, which organizers say will expose Israeli "lies and exaggerations about the Holocaust," according to reports in the English-language dailies Gulf News and Khaleej Times. The symposium being held Thursday is organized by the Zayed Center for Coordination and Follow-up, a think-tank whose chairman, Sultan Bin Zayed Al Nahayan, is deputy prime minister of the United Arab Emirates. According to the reports on Monday, Arab League Secretary-General Amr Moussa, a former Egyptian foreign minister, has sent a personal representative, Dr. Ahmed Saleem Jarad, to address the opening session. In a press release describing the symposium, the Zayed Center said, "Israel has indulged in spreading lies and exaggerations about the Holocaust in order to squeeze out huge funds from European countries through blackmail." Labeling the Holocaust a "false fable," the center said that, "The symposium aims at disclosing many historical, political fallacies promoted by Israel and Zionism through different means especially the spread of fibs and exaggerations regarding the so-called Holocaust." The center also asserted that it was "Jewish activities" which had "agitated European hatred against Jews."
Arab League to participate in Holocaust-denial symposium
And you can tell us what kind of food they serve. (/sarcasm.
Yeah, and my wife's uncle is also a big liar. He put those numbers on his arm just to fool everybody. And his stories about witnessing the murder of his father and brother, of never seeing his mother and sister after being forced off of the cattle car, of being shot and left for dead and his descriptions of the camps - they are all lies. (/acid-dripping sarcasm)
I think that it is instructive to listen to the rabid anti-Jewish Arabs saying on the one hand that the Holocaust never occurred, while claiming on the other hand that the "Nazi Israelis" are "exterminating" the Pallies. Well, which is it? Either there was no Holocaust and, therefore, the Israelis can't be compared to the Nazis (by the screwed up "reasoning" of these pieces of garbage) or there was a Holocaust and the Israelis are acting like the Nazis (again, by their screwed up reasoning).
It is clear to me that they know that there was, indeed, a Holocaust. Their only problem with it is that it was incomplete. Knowing that this incredibly tragic event was the immediate impetus for the creation of the State of Israel, they seek to deny its existence in order to delegitimize Israel. However, they also seek to demonize the Israelis, and comparing them to Nazis not only conjures up some of the most awful images known to Mankind, it also inflicts additional emotional distress on the few survivors who remain. The only problem is that the two positions are totally inconsistent with each other.
By the way, RCW, enjoy your trip to Abu Dhabi. Maybe on the way back you can take an extended vacation in Iraq - just remember to stay close to military installations to ensure your safety.
Yup. Doing a little trolling
