I keep telling you that you need to change the oil in that hat;^) That doesn't mean to get a new hat; try Woolite, cold water and a soft brush.

Oh I could either clean it well myself or get a class A job done at a couple of western wear stores I know ... and I'm talking the real thing here in terms of western ear stores, not the big affairs in the large cities.

But, I prefer to let the work stains remain as they are. They get somewhat softened when I'm working in the snow or the rain and the hat gets soaked through that way.

As it is, they allow me to never forget the feel or worth of honest, hard, manual labor by the sweat of my brow. It's something my Dad taught me to approeciate and I have voed never to lose site of it.
