Name-dropper! I've talked with him too; nice guy, good man. I'd be happy to call when I can. But he has had Thomasson on his show.... Thanks.

Dan

I can't sell short my principles just to win and for that reason ...

This is not a matter of principal. This is about ongoing criminal fraud and government corruption. Both political parties knowingly corrupt the system and as a consequence defraud your family and mine out of money. Money that frankly I don't have. Simon will continue and expand the fraud and corruption of California Government under the banner being a conservative. At least Davis takes cash out front to pay him for votes.

By pandering for votes in the criminal community. Simon represents the continuation of the corruption of our state, federal, and local governments. Simon advocates the expansion of the ongoing financial fleecing of the legal citizens of California. SIMON does not aspire to be the solution, he wants to become a part of expanding the crime .

Before you call me xenophobic, or racist, here are my bonifieds I am married to a 2nd generation Hispanic whose parents and family came here legally. I spend more time listening to Spanish conversations (which I don't understand) and they graciously willing translate for me. My father-in-law came to the country as an adult and he struggles to speak English. So he is more comfortable speaking Spanish, which is fine with me. Mother-in-law is very fluent in English and she is the principal of a private religious school. My sister-in-law picks up languages very easy and speaks at least three languages. Many of the cousins visit and they speak Spanish and they are always asking me why I don't learn. I don't have that gift and I jokingly tell them, English is the language of business. My blood daughter (my wife's step daughter) is half Hispanic and if you insult her or harm her, I will hunt you down like a dog. She does not speak Spanish her mother and step dad do. They look very Mexican and she is blond with blue eyes, go figure. I have worked in the public health care sector for 24 years.

It is crime for the illegal's to be here. Any argument to minimize this fact is an argument to condone or ignore ongoing criminal activities. People who perpetuate or partake in the benefits of criminal activities, be they politicians, bureaucrats, health care administrators or illegal aliens, have no place in American society. The Americans belong in prison for fraud and or malfeasance. The illegals should be deported. Illegals do harm to us in real ways every day.

There are now so many illegal’s flooding the state, that they have drastically undercut the value state labor markets for legal citizens. Illegals do take decent jobs that would otherwise go to legal Americans, in construction for example.

They know and exploit our, "don't ask don't tell" Medi-cal socialized medicine policies and receive "free" health care. This occurs on a massive scale. They are referred to our hospitals by their Mexican physicians and are hosted by their illegal relatives residing here, while they seek "free" health care.

Not only have they not been screened for Hepatitis or TB, they are eating up major resources in the health care sector We are talking big expensive operations here, heart, lung and kidney transplants. Cancer therapies are greatly sought after. Children with physical handicaps are fully covered and costs are reimbursed to Hospitals by California Children services (CCS). All appliances braces, special beds, shoes etc. training for parents are covered. If the cost can be reasonably assumed to go for the child’s care, it is reimbursable. Travel cost are reimbursable and mileage an be paid at .32 per mile. Some of those trips from the distant desert can be 300 – 500 miles round trip to LA hospitals 2 to 3 times week for some kids.

Studies show the Hispanic population to have a higher risk for diabetes. Treatment for this disease requires frequent monitoring by health care professionals i.e. Physicians. Long-term prognosis is that the disease can result in loss of limbs or blindness and major organ shut down. In the long-term, often the patient becomes incapacitated and can no longer work. In many cases, by the time the "illegal patients” arrive at out "free clinics", they have not had proper medical care and the disease is out of control. This requires intensive medical intervention just to stabilize the condition. This is hugely expensive and the legal Americans pay for this. In the event defrauding patient can no longer work, which is often the case in diabetes, legal tax paying citizens absorb that cost through welfare and SSI benefits taken from our checks.

A local hospital opened a diabetes clinic last year, they now have a three month waiting list for treatment. These are by and large illegal Mexican citizens. The administrators are currently looking for property to expand the clinic and catch up with the backlog. Real estate in the vicinity of the hospital is not cheap and the cost will be passed onto those who do pay.

Social Workers and other health professionals are being trained not quiz the patients legal status, no passport or visa is checked. They also are trained to not to investigate financial information. The less you know the easier it is to qualify the illegal patient or his wife or their kids for "free" medical care. I know of at leased one case, where the patient was claiming indigence and yet had a $100,000.00 a year business in Tijuana which the brother was running while the defrauding patient is here receiving treatment.

This corporate atmosphere of corruption and rampant fraud is instigated by Political pressures on the health care system from government leaders and bureaucrats that will benefit at election time. They handcuff the Social Workers or other health care professionals who again, cannot by state, county and professional licensing policy, ask for documentation of legal status in the U.S. If they should happen to establish that there are no grounds for treatment in the U.S, they are circumvented by other licensed people (major ethical issues there for licensed persons interfering in another professionals case) who under whatever delusion, coaches or tells the illegal the magic words, which are, " I intend to reside in here."

With the uttering of this statement the illegal goes in to an "extra legal status" that requires the entire system to treat them as though they are citizens. They are able to fraudulently transfer the cost of their medical treatment to you and me. The legal working American population absorbs the cost of these "free" medical therapies" though astronomical charges for or own hospital stays. Is it any wonder that a 4x4 gauze pad is billed at $9.00 or let alone that your health care benefits are spiraling up annually? It’s no secret that the hospitals make their money back from the no payers by tacking it onto the insured patients bill. Eventually, this all comes out of not just the Californians pocketbooks, but All U.S. Taxpayer pockets.

A progress note: This is not going away soon. The counties of California are fully focused, well financed (with our tax money) and mobilized on recruiting and retaining Health care professionals that will culturally reflect this population. This is their number one mission over and above treatment to the patient.

Bill Simon has signaled to all these counties, the socialist and race and cultural fragmentars it will be status quo. In my administration we will still be corrupt, together we will fleece the little guy as we move toward a California utopia.

As the great Jim Quinn WRRK 97
from Pittsburgh Pa. Says, “the liberals don’t understand, the more of this behavior you pay, for the more you get.
Boy, are we paying for it.

Principles matter for me. I do agree though with your analysis of our situation and the corrupt nature of our political class and its a good argument as any that there's not a dime's worth of difference between the Democrats and Republicans when it comes to fleecing the public. Providing handouts to undeserving illegal aliens is merely the tip of the iceberg. I might add our schools, public health system, and other governmental services are going under and no one dares to address the problem. Amazingly, all the proposals out of Washington would merely make the current crisis even worse. Americans need to wake up and realize its not simply good enough to vote for the "lesser of two evils" anymore and hope things will improve over time. What we need is a major shakeup to take back our country and its not going to come from the system. The protesters in the 60s had it right that if you're part of the solution, you're part of the problem. Americans have to put their foot down and say "enough!"

Perhaps next time the base will really get the candidate it deserves and who won't sell us out for the sake of short-sighted political expediency.

Sorry, but if the conservatives don't stick with Bill Simon, no conservative with money or credentials will ever run in California again, and we'll have Richard Riordan and Tom Campbell types as our nominee. Because no one wants to run for office and the first misstep have their so-called friends bail on them, stab them in the back, and believe every rumor and half-truth about them. And the fact is, Simon didn't say he supported domestic partnerships for same sex couples. Period.

I just read of Simons position re gays and I am really disappointed in him. I cannot support him any longer. I fear that he has been dishonest proclaiming to be a conservative. I worry about what other things he may be hiding until after election day.

Don't believe everything you read. Simon doesn't not support gay marriage or domestic partnerships or anything like that. His comments were taken out of context.

I will stay home for the first time in 30 years

If you mean that you plan not to vote, please reconsider, at least for the sake of the other offices and propositions.
If you mean that you will vote by mail (absentee) for the first time, then that is great!

Tom McClintock is a great candidate for state Controller. He attacks the Davis administration's spending spree more than most politicians, and he helped bring us the vehicle license fee reduction we have enjoyed the last few years. (Unfortunately, the democrats are constantly trying to repeal this victory. AB1105 their newest attempt, and it will triple the VLF.) McClintock is conservative, and would watch our state's finances carefully. His votes in the CA Senate demonstrate that he agrees with CCF most of the time, although those views probably will not make a difference in the office of Controller. I really like him, and I think he deserves your vote.

Vote NO on Proposition 52, the Taco-Bell instant voter registration and vote-fraud-encouragement proposal. If this passes, anyone not registered to vote may register on election day and cast a ballot immediately. No accurate verification of eligibility to vote or of legal residence is possible in such a short time, and that fact will encourage fraud.

There will be several multi-billion dollar bonds on the statewide ballot.
Your local elections might field some satisfactory candidates, or you might want to "vote against" particularly awful legislative or other candidates.

Some candidates might vote in perfect accord with CCF, such as Dick Ackerman for state Attorney General. Other candidates vote in complete disagreement with CCF, such as the democrat candidate for (nonpartisan) Superintendant of Education. Will you "stay home" and withhold your vote for the good candidates and against the bad ones simply because you are dissatisfied with the imperfections of candidates for one other office?
