August 30, 2002 -- The United States will launch its all-out attack to oust - and kill - Saddam Hussein by Nov. 30, according to a new report.

Israeli military sources, quoted by the respected Israeli newspaper Maariv, disclosed that a U.S. military delegation revealed the outline of the plans in briefings with Israeli and Jordanian military officers.

Saddam, and more importantly his military officers, must be pooping themselves. I mean, they have been waiting for the imminent attack for nearly a year now. They can't have any nerves left.

Yeah, Bush's telling the Jordanians our war plans, months in advance. The U.S. Congress and many of Bush's inner circle, however, is being kept in the dark.

We can only imagine the reportorial skill involved in scooping an important, difficult story like this one. It's the most important piece of news since we learned the CIA crashed the jets into the WTC.

Not the Israelis, IMHO. This sounds more like it came from Hussein himself... the idea being to make a very big deal about Israel being a 'partner' in an imminent attack on Iraq in order to anger muslims and rally them around Iraq.

Actually, you could well be right. The several references to killing Saddam most likely didn't come from the west. It might be an objective, but it would never be discussed, except by a select few, and certainly not with allies beyond heads of state.

When Saddam opened his piehole and said he was sending $25,000 checks to the families of suicide bombers, He signed his own death warrant. If one or more of his Generals don't OFF him........ we will. I'm betting that Saddam's military leaders are not looking forward to another spanking from our forces and in order to save themselves from the inevidable..... One of them will gin up enough courage to organize a hit sqaud and snuff out Saddam and his inner circle. I just hope they drag Saddam out in the street and 86 him in front of his countryman

In order to avoid being screamed at by Democrats & the press, Bush will not order the attack until after the Nov elections.

Don't get me wrong, I love the man, but he's more committed to his "new tone" than to doing what's best for the country.

The press and the Dems would scream bloody murder that the attack was timed to best impact the Nov elections. It wasn't even considered that all of Clintoon's military actions were politically timed.

Betcha it ain't:-) What I see happening here is that these leaks are getting more specific...and I think we are trying to goade maddas into attacking first...then we don't have any of these "problems" with allies. Just a hunch. If he does not...we will not attack until next year (January). Ramadan starts Nov 5th and continues until Dec 4th. I don't see us attacking during ramadan.
