This statement provides an example of some of the worst traits of the Americans--indeed of human beings -- that your organization purports to speak for. Cornell, huh?
I think she meant to say something like "...-- for whom your organization puports(?) to speak."

College Girls: Unpaid Whores
If you were to visit a womens studies department at an elite university, you would encounter a wide variety of courses on the sexual liberation of women. The main thrust of these courses is that for too long, various social institutions have prevented women from exploring their sexual desires. Now, thanks to the heroism of such women as Gloria Steinem, Margaret Sanger, and Bella Abzug, women have been partially freed from the oppressive forces of male patriarchy. In other words, young women are encouraged to be whores.

Cornell University's "Open Doors, Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Wallets, Open Rectums" Kinda sums it all up, doesn't it?

I remember when I was at Cornell back in the late 70's it was the same stuff. While I was milking cows to pay my way through, they were taking over buildings and espousing their non-sense. Certain Professors stood with them, ostensibly showing great concern for their flock. Most of them were just trying to bag a co-ed.
At one point we thought about coming down the hill with pitch forks to move them out, but cooler heads prevailed.
Their self-imposed angst over all things worldly will evaporate as they grow up and even they won't believe themselves in a few years.
Stay the course. They are morons and you aren't.

"Next to the advertisement for the first meeting and a drawing of the US flag is the statement, 'You're either with us or with the terrorists'
I find this statement extremely offensive. This heavy-handed, black-and-white picture of the world fails to acknowledge the incredible diversity of opinions, complexity of interactions, and tolerance of others that exists in today's social and political life.* It is also a blatant offense to the University's 'Open Doors, Open Hearts, and Open Minds' mission."
Carla--what a friggin twit. Hey Carla, do you know how incredibly diverse North Africa all the way across to India was until Islam had its way with the indigenous cultures and languages?

This sorority chick's gonna get a big kick out of muttawa when her fellow "Liberals" finally succeed in bringing Islam to North America.

I agree with the conservatives - not only can she go to hell, she can drop dead.
Never apologise for being conservative, never back down, never give an inch, never take a step back.

Brilliant. We really need to make a big time effort to encourage college Republican groups to become FReepers. They are not alone. I'd love to see FReeps on campuses, or is it campi?

First, whether Ms. Winston finds the statement "extremely offensive," somewhat offensive, mildly offensive, or even sexually arousing is completely irrelevant to me. She is entitled to her opinion, but she is not entitled to silence her political opponents. Exactamundo.

This is what the Ivy League is churning out, folks. Sorority girls who believe that we ought not even say anything harsh about terrorists (or terrorist sympathizers) lest they get angry. In the humanities and social sciences, Ivy League schools are becoming laughingstocks to many Americans.

In other words, young women are encouraged to be whores. They don't need any encouragement these days.

Telling the PC crowd where to go is the only cure for PC.

I want to join a young conservatives group.. but I've never seen one around here.. nor anywhere. Could anyone give me a link to a group like that's website?

Sorority girls must be quite a bit different at Cornell today than they were at LSU during the early 80's. The Greek system was overwhelmingly conservative and I would estimate more than 50% Republican. If anything, IMHO we (the Greek system) were probably a little too quick to dismiss opposing viewpoints.

Cornell University's "Open Doors, Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Wallets, Open Rectums" policy is a joke. This guy is downright hilarious, and a very good writer.

I especially like this part:
And one more thing: If any member of the College Republicans is forced to appear before a single university official to explain anything about our advertising, we will see to it that Cornell University faces yet another public relations nightmare. After all, we have the Constitution and the President of the United States on our side.
That was good.
