In the near future, we will be reading the same stories about illegal tobacco crops. Its where the nanny state is headed.

Well those "freedom lovers" should not be surprised when pay-back comes.Sometimes pay-back comes with unintended consequences.

I would have to agree even though I'm not personally crazy about LEO pothounds.
I deer hunt occasionally about 10 miles from the site of this patch.

Sometimes pay-back comes with unintended consequences. When these "freedom lovers" booby-trap their stash, the unintended consequence is very likely to be a custom fitted body bag just for them.

This could be an effective tactic against drug agents. If bouncing around in the woods looking for pot plants stands a good chance of getting you killed, there are going to be fewer DEA agents interested in walking thru the woods
Something like why you never hear about BATF agents kicking in the door of a local South Central LA Crips HQ looking for illegal guns.

Americans who know the meaning of private property are criminals??Seems so.
Whatever else you do, don't say nothin' about the Constitution.

This could be an effective tactic against drug agents. And hunters and hikers. After all, dope comes first.

I don't care for people booby trapping almost anything. That being said, if these guys want a war on drugs, how come they can't at least expect some war coming at them?

So you approve? No, I don't approve. I'm just saying that it's likely to be an effective tactic.

While I'm not condoning "booby traps", what happened here was inevitable when you take into account the demand for marijuana, and the general disregard in which the American public holds these Keystone Cops.

Your above italicized passage is the penultimate definition of the word "Clintonian", IMHO.
