Well, I'm impressed, summer; and if I lived in FL, I'd vote for Jeb Bush, but, alas, I'm not. I hope he wins, despite the liberal democrats' lying ways (as is usual all over the country). And I didn't know how well the economy was down there...that's great news for the people and the companies. Hope you have a good weekend.

It think it is about time that a Governor take a stand against illegals getting drivers license. It is great to know that Governor Bush is doing something about that. Ours is not only welcoming these people in but granting them licenses to drive. I think not only is this insane but criminal. You should see how they drive out here. It is bad enough our freeways are so packed that we have gridlock as never before. Even building new freeways won't solve this problem. Some people just should not be driving especially if they can't speak or read English.
Yesterday on the news, the authorities arrested several illegals working in at the LAX airport using fake id's. Now these illegals claims they have not committed a crime and want to be released from custody.
You know....if I had applied for a job using a fake id....I'd go to jail.

I agree. You and I both would be in jail if we were applying for jobs with fake ID or driving with fake licenses, etc. How it is illegals and their lawyers think no one else would be charged with these crimes is a little beyond my understanding.

Hi nic, Thanks so much for your nice post and for taking the time to read this. I am very surprised the FL newspapers did not spend more time on all the good economic news in FL over the Labor Day weekend. Oh well! :)

The problem lies in the fact that members of Congress seem to think there isn't a problem with illegals coming here. Of course many of those members are lawyers and they think they are above the law so they refuse to do anything about this.

Please forgive my indulgence here, as I am pinging my JEB! list to all 25 threads JUST THIS ONE TIME, on this ONE day so close to the end of Campaign 2002.
I did so in the hope you will simply bump your FAVORITE thread!
I read somewhere that positive news about a candidate at the very last minute will sway an undecided voter to vote for that candidate.
Consequently, this is a one-time, last minute, push -- so please do bump a thread.
Who knows, your bump may be the one that an undecided lurker sees! And, every vote does count.
Thanks for your help here! :)
