From my post #20 --
In the wake of Florida's problems, Smith said, the Michigan FIA began reviewing the placements of all 19,000 abused and neglected children under its charge.
BTW, it would not surprise me if such headlines also eventually concerned 48 other states -- how many of those states have attempted to locate all the kids in their care? So far, we know of two states that have tried to do so - FL and Michigan. I bet 48 other states are waiting until after November elections....

Finally, no offense to you at all, but the topic I wrote about is JOB GROWTH and FL's ECONOMY. It is remarkable that FL has been, and continues to be, #1 in the NATION for new job growth. This is an election year, and this fact should be the subject of some tv commercials from Gov Bush's campaign, IMHO. Also, it is quite impressive to me that more people in FL are starting new small businesses than anywhere else in this country. Obviously, Gov. Bush is doing something right! :)

Thansk for the link. I'll read through it. I didn't know it was a state wide problem. That's horrible.

You're very welcome. The bad news about FL and Gov Bush seems to come quickly in the media, while few realize these problems with child welfare agencies are actually nationwide.
BTW, Gov Bush recently took other steps to help locate missing children, as explained
HERE.

If I were Jeb, I'd brag about job growth and the economy. As you can see, all I concentrated on was the missing child problem. The media up here, conservative and liberal haven't said anything about the Fla. economy, just missing children. Wish we had the job growth and booming economy up here in lovely liberal NJ!
Thanks again for straightening me out.

LOL...no problem. And, I agree with you - Gov. Bush should be bragging in a big way about FL, since the media actually DOES back him up on this! I guess people expect him to be better on economic issues or something, but, this is a huge voter issue in every election, and will certainly count in a big way in this FL gov race. How anyone can vote for Reno when thinking about jobs, I don't know. As for McLawyer and the other candidate, I don't see any great performances or advantages in this area -- yet, Gov Bush has really excelled here. Thanks for your posts. :)

FYI, as in addition to "exposing Reno" one should point out how she and other Dem candidates can not hold a candle to Gov Bush in this area of concern to voters (creating new JOBS).

Yes, but remember, the mantra of liberalism - "if it feels good, do it."
Regardless of logic, facts, you know, that pesky thing called the truth that liberal screeds like Reno have no qualms about circumventing...
/\XABN584 I bumped you for this: ZAX!

I think it's a disgrace for Jeb NOT to address how Child Welfare can "lose kids" and nothing happens.Would you care to make a bet as to what percentage of "Child Welfare" staffers are registered Democrats. I'll say at least two-thirds. The problem isn't JEB, it's the unionized, Democrat, bureaucratic staff. I wonder how many kids were lost while the "Child Welfare" staff was attending "Gore 2000" rallies.

Instead, AP is reporting FL is leading the nation in creation of new jobs in the private sector. Shame on Jeb Bush! If they weren't providing so many jobs, then the state could act more like the nanny that it's supposed to be. Don't you realize that the rich are supposed to provide for the poor so that the poor don't have to do anything at all?
Geeze.

Thanks for the ping ! Great pictures too!
