Once AGAIN where did I or anyone else speak out against Hispanic conservatives or hispanics becoming conservatives? Pandering to them and giving them goodies so they'll "like us" and vote for the GOP doesn't make them Conservatives in ANY way shape or form. More likely you're just setting up a straw man argument for your own benefit.

GOP Scoring With Latinos,

The title was a little misleading. I was thinking something along the lines of "Clinton Scoring With Interns."

This is a good thing, as long as it does not include amnesty for illegal aliens.

Latinos suffer the consequences of illegal immigration just as much as other Americans.

my poem was not ment for you unless you're an illegal

Right. Then you probably shouldn't have addressed it to me.
Doesn't matter anyway.
It was pulled from the board.

According to you, you are not hispanic, nor from any hispanic country.

I'd like to know why you call yourself Jorge then. I'm sure others here would like to as well.

I'm sure very few care about such nit-picky subjects as to why people pick the screen names they do on FR.

In any case I picked Jorge because I like it.
Especially for threads like this one.
It like the way it brings the bigots out of the woodwork...and how many of them tell me to go back where I came from etc..
It's pretty funny.

By the way..why do you call yourself "grlfrnd"?
You're not my "grlfrnd"...I can't understand why you call yourself that. lol

You implied quite clearly that anyone who did not favor the immediate transfer of the entire population of Mexico to the US was a bigot. You said it with the word "bigotry".

ROFL!
The least you could try to do is make your fabrications halfway believable.
Especially when what I posted is still on the board to compare it to.

Here's an exact quote of my post;

Better to stay "pure" in ever-shrinking numbers, or explain and recruit to conservatism? Why the dissappointment that Hispanics are open to the message of conservatism?

One word. Bigotry.

What's clear is that those who cannot answer what I actually posted above, need to fabricate absurd distortions of my post to vent their knee-jerk reactions to the word "bigotry".

Your post gets the prize.
Congratulations.

By the way. I am right. And these responses prove it.

I agree with you. I think this is a great move for Republicans. Republicans DO NOT have to pander to any group to get their vote, they just need to communicate our Republican message of hope and opportunity and economic prosperity to the different groups. We are not the party of the rich and privileged, we're the party of EVERYONE who wants to work and have the chance to succeed, to send their kids to quality schools, to have the government take less from their paychecks so they have more for their families.

Our Republican message appeals to FAMILIES -- white, Hispanic, Asian. I'll say that we should be appealing to blacks as well, but they've been lied to so much they'll never believe anything we say. Other groups are open, and we don't have to give up our principles to appeal to them. It's all how we communicate our message.

It is not pandering to respect your fellow citizen of an identifiable group such as Hispanic, market your party and platform and ideas and philosophy to him or her and have the manners to ask for his or her vote.

Well said.

I think there are some people who lump all Hispanics into the illegal immigrant corner and everything is jaded by that view. I lived in L.A. for three years and saw the good and bad side of the immigrant issue. I understand the animosity because there are some -- especially liberal Democrats -- who want affirmative action for Hispanics, use anti-American or anti-Caucasian language to split us and them. At the same time, I'll say that driving around in the morning, you see a lot of Hispanics standing on street corners looking to make a few bucks as day laborers. You don't see whites, you don't see blacks, and there are blacks and whites who are out of work.

All I'm saying is that we need respect those who respect our values and issues. There are many Hispanics who will jump off the Democrat ship if Republicans -- like GWB -- continue to sell our principles and ideas to them -- without pandering, without selling out, and without giving in. And I welcome them.

Well, I guess that leaves GWB out doesn't it? Or is it "I have been locked in a closet for 2 years" your story?

You just admitted Jorge (or is it really George?) that you chose the name deliberately to be contentious.

What can you expect friends, from a liberal site pest like WHORE HAY who's obviously a commie.
