"How can we support the white farmers in Zimbabwe? What can we do (I'm serious...I feel worried about them)."
Their cause was lost from the beginning. It was always only a matter of time. If they stay in Z. they will die.

"Mr Mugabe said: "Blair keep your England and let me keep my Zimbabwe." I think this is a great trade. Now let Zimbabwe starve.

I wish our doofus president was as shrewd as the highly intellectual Tony Blair. Yes, it won't be the first time Tony Blair walked right into a political ambush that Bush was smart enough to avoid.
And I seem to recall Blair doing the same thing in the Gulf region right before the war in Afghanistan.

Oh heck no, we have already sent 10 million in aid, or maybe it was 10 billion, who the heck can keep up with all the zero's anymore?

Tony Blair walked into a humiliating ambush at the Earth Summit in Johannesburg today as African leaders angrily accused him of acting like a modern day colonialist.
Nothing like having a liberal hoisted on his petard

I have great idea that would solve the problem in Africa and Israel -- Irene.
Move the white farmers in Zimbabwe to Israel, and the palestinians from Israel to Zimbabwe.
This way you have terrorists living in love in Zimbabwe. And productive people who want to be prosperous and grow things in Israel.
Problem solved for the Middle East and Zimbabwe.

At its current rate of progress, Zimbabwe will probably embrace cannibalism by year's end.
Whether that would be a good thing or a bad thing is a matter of perspective, I suppose.

Bush has more sense then to attend, etc....

"Small as we are we have won our independence and we are prepared to shed our blood (anyones but my own, of course...heh heh heh...)
in sustenance and maintenance and protection of that independence."Time to recolonize I think.

I also believe that those who condemn the USA should lose all foreign aid from the USA. It is our money, and we should only give it to our friends.
It is pointless to give aid to countries that have not accepted real democracy and capitalism. It is like continuing to put quarters in a soda machine you know to be out of order.

Great idea. They should do it.
I am praying for the white farmers in Zimbabwe. They deserve to live. Mugabe is a thug.

You are right. Why should we aid those who wish to destroy the USA.
It is time to only send aid to countries like Israel. If the world doesn't like it, too bad. Since they already hate us, why not act the way they think we do.
Any liberal who wants to help the turd world is more than welcome to share their wealth with the third world. Hmmm Do I see Bono, Cher, and the rest of the liberals in line to give most of his millions to the UN? NO I DO NOT.

In the third world they crap in the streets. Two months ago, an owner of a Tennessee small business told me he watched illegal Mexicans working next to his shop. One of them crapped in the open next to his business, in broad daylight. Welcome to an America on the cusp of being a third-world country!

Mr Mugabe said: "Blair keep your England and let me keep my Zimbabwe." His remarks met with loud applause from other world leaders, compounding the embarrassment for Mr Blair who had told delegates of his pride in the work done by Britain in Africa only a few hours earlier. What the West should do is declare Sub-Saharan Africa a "Wilderness Area" and leave it completely alone.
In 50 years, it will revert back to the way it was before the Age of Discovery.

They're right, you know. Population control will be obtained when we banish the flush toilet, (pardon the pun!)Just think of all that good ol' typhoid, dysentery, and other water borne diseases.
Phooey!!!!!

I like this analogy. Can be used for a lot of issues...not just foreign aid.

Mr Mugabe said: "Blair keep your England and let me keep my Zimbabwe." He added, "Just send money instead."

Make friends with one on the internet and encourage them to get out. Eventually the country will starve to death, they'll start killing each other in masses like in Rwanda, and if those that don't kill each other will die of AIDS. Problem solved.
The story that's not being told are the thousands of black farm workers and their families that are displaced when they are thrown off the land with the white farm owner they worked for. They have resorted to living in the woods and foraging. Most are starving. It's a bleak situation.
