President Bush celebrated Labor Day in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania today as he spoke to members of the Carpenter's Union and attended a picnic. In his speech, the President focused on thanking American workers and on strengthening the country through compassion. He also used the occasion to stress the need for a cabinet-level department of homeland defense. Bush also toured the Carpenters Joint Apprenticeship Center on Neville Island. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

QUOTE OF THE DAY: See government, can hand out money -- pretty good at it -- (laughter) -- but it can't put hope into people's hearts. It can't put a sense of purpose in people's lives. Somebody said, well, I can't do everything. No, but you can do something. You can do something. See, we can change America, one heart, one soul, one conscience at a time.

And I call upon our fellow Americans, here on Labor Day, to be a part of that change in America. Be a part of the gathering momentum of millions of acts of kindness and decency which show the true face and character of the greatest nation, the greatest nation on the face of the Earth. God bless you all. God bless. God bless America. Thank you all.

Rintense,
Did the toon do all these things that President Bush has done lately or did I just ignore the 8 years he as in office? Just wondering since I don't remember any of these wonderful moments with him. Wait a minute, there were no wonderful moments with him!!! There, I answered my own questions. Thanks for the picture.

I've been missing this so much. However, it was good to know he was in Texas. Now he's about the country's business again where the whiners want him to be. I'll bet he's fixing to hit the road running with both barrels loaded and they just think he's been on vacation. This will be fun. Hope everyone had a great labor day. I'm getting my house ready for 7 houseguest for 3 month. I'll be more than ready for this every ngiht and this is probably the last time I'll be first.

It was hot today in Pittsburgh (mid 80's) - but not THAT hot! I hope he doubled up on the deodorant.

You see the shirt slightly open on pic 4 & 5. He does that for the Bush Babes. He knows we're watching.

I wish Dubya would wear some of his short sleeve shirts on the hottest days of the year.
