Fred thanks for the flag ! , but big government never changes. Those people look after each other, regardless of the party or the person.

Agreed, but its more then that. Its an effort to protect the system. The governments position is to automatically circle the wagons, defend and wage battle. Keep in mind, no financial constraints exist when gov salaried lawyers fight the private sector.

I am glad for Linda and I hope she wins a decent award through settlement. Even if the gov refuses to aknowledge responsibility. She deserves it.

Oddly enough, Judge Sullivan is a Clinton appointee who has previously issued questionable rulings in matters affecting that administration.

True enough, but the wheel has turned, and there's a new master of the house.

Good news, it would be hard for the court to deny Linda her day, laws were certainly broken.

This is encouraging. The rule of law is trumping political hatchetry. Thanks for the post.

Jim, Is there some way you could get someone like holdonnow to explain the attitude of the present administration? Don't they feel any debt of gratitude to Linda?

Well ... I don't think GW is behind this - but I would suspect that leftover's from x42's gang could still be within the DOD, and pushing to keep her quiet. If Linda wins this case (which I believe she should), it could expose some of those leftovers - allowing the Bush admin to get rid of them.

Besides, the Bush admin would resist this lawsuit just on basic defense grounds - not because they were against Linda.
