I thought that description was reserved for bribing Jeffords to Jump by supporting the Dairy cooperative and bumping funding for mental health.

Would bet that the deal with Jeffords was reached when the clinton/daschle democRATs didn't pick up that 9th seat in the Senate they needed to take control. So they did power sharing until they "convinced" Jeffords to go Indy and vote with their caucus. They picked up 8 DemocRAT freshmen but they needed nine so Jeffords was more than likely shown a file or two they had on him because the dairy compacts most likely were in the bag with Republicans.

That is why his weasel words on switching rang hollow!

Yeah, we know how awful it is when managers have flexibility. (/sarcasm) They want to run the joint and want to siphon off clout for themselves, and would despicably use this situation to get it.

Just as in every politicizable situation, the AFL-CIO would seek to increase its membership and dues/pension/insurance hoard. I'm still sick and reeling from the deal to federalize airport security screeners.

Excellent data.

I'm very disappointed in the democrat leadership as they have not risen above partisan politics to the stature necessary to stop fooling around with our lives and security. Their political gaming shows total disregard for America's safety. In fact, many of them are the same group of petty prigs who did not hold Bill Clinton accountable for his dereliction of duty.

IMHV, it takes men and women of courage and deep solid character to fully understand what is at stake for all of us to remain free and behave in a manner that is befitting our respect and trust in a time of war.

I thank God everyday though that there are brave men and women who have volunteered to risk their lives for us and our freedom and stand tall on the front lines against "evil doers" and a CIC, President George W. Bush, who stands along side them and America.
