Mainly, because they realize as long as Clinton keeps pleading his own case in front of captivated audiences, their attempts to reduce his legacy to nothing more than Monica Lewinsky are doomed to fail.

I wish that klinton's legacy was only Monica. Then it would have been only blowjobs, perjury, and obstruction of justice. But that was just one of Bill's little foibles.

The democRATs pray every day to their tin god klinton that only Monica is remembered. That way, they feel, people won't remember the substantive klinton legacy of death, deceit, and financial wreckage.

Klinton established the cult of personality in America, and kneepadders like this clown want him and Hitlery back in power to rule over us forever.

Charisma: "A special quality of leadership that captures the popular imagination and inspires allegiance and devotion."

However one the fundamental qualities of a leader is that he or she puts the interest of the people ahead of his or her own interests. In this Bill Clinton failed as miserably as any president has ever failed.

I will grant that Clinton has charisma and he does inspire allegiance and devotion; but it is the allegiance and devotion of a fan, not a patriot. The allegiance and devotion is only towards Bill Clinton, not to a higher ideal.

Reagan also had charisma but he inspire people to great ideas and great goals. Their love was for Reagan, but their devotion and allegiance was for the things that Reagan stood for.

"If a room filled with beatific smiles and hypnotic gazes was any barometer, it was a typical masterly public performance by Clinton.

Which, of course, is the reason Clinton-haters despise the man."

If you can't be kind - at least have the decency to be vague.

If the acutal perp is the one...buning in hell in fine ...if not I really don't care and neither should anyone else. But the beauty of having "faith" is that we do not have to know who the "perp" is only that God will take care of the situation.

No, Eugene may sound like a lovestruck 13 year-old in this article but he is about 45-46 years old.

Hmmm... let me see...

Posted by John Lenin to GOPJ -- FYI The clinton years ushered in Republican gains. May "ever the master of political strategist" continue destroying his own party.

POLITICAL FALL-OUT

- According to the National Conference of State Legislatures, Democrats held a 1,542 seat lead in the state bodies in 1990. As of November 2000 that lead had shrunk to 288. That's a loss of over 1,200 state legislative seats, nearly all of them under Clinton. Across the US, the Democrats controlled only 65 more state senate seats than the Republicans.

Further, in 1992, the Democrats controlled 17 more state legislatures than the Republicans. After November, the Republicans control one more than the Democrats. Not only was this a loss of 9 legislatures under Clinton, but it was the first time since 1954 that the GOP had controlled more state legislatures than the Democrats (they tied in 1968).

Here's what happened to the Democrats under Clinton:

- GOP seats gained in House since Clinton became president: 48

- GOP seats gained in Senate since Clinton became president: 8

- GOP governorships gained since Clinton became president: 11

- GOP state legislative seats gained since Clinton became president: 1,254 as of 1998

- State legislatures taken over by GOP since Clinton became president: 9

- Democrat officeholders who have become Republicans since Clinton became president: 439 as of 1998

- Republican officeholders who have become Democrats since Clinton became president: 3

As Dennis Hopper said in "Easy Rider" (Great line - your gonna luv it ) -

"Geeeez"

There is always a lot to be thankful for if you look for it -for instance I'm sitting here right now, and am thankful as hell that I chilled that tube of Preparation H before that 10:15PM application.

"Geeeez"

I might even put it in the freezer before the 10:45PM dose is due.

"Geeeez"

John Lenin huh -

They both wrote better than you do - give me a middle C.

Charisma: "A special quality of leadership that captures the popular imagination and inspires allegiance and devotion." Look it up. Right next to that definition in the dictionary, there's a picture of Bill Clinton.

Yup, that's Clinton's power ... charisma. No doubt, he's got it. I've known people like that and even when they wrong you, they can convince you to trust them again. Maybe one more time anyway. These are very scary people.

For all of his flaws, Clinton oozes the right stuff.

Well, at least he picked the right verb.

If a room filled with beatific smiles and hypnotic gazes was any barometer, it was a typical masterly public performance by Clinton. The liquor must have been free flowing, or Slick had some of that Arkansas "powdered sugar" flown in!

Which, of course, is the reason Clinton-haters despise the man. Yup, that's it!! What a "crack" reporter!

Clinton, live or on television, always has an unrivaled ability to connect with ordinary Americans. Just like any used car salesman or infomercial pitchman!

It leaves his enemies snarling. Actually, we are shaking our heads in disbelief at the rank stupidity and lockstep mindlessness of people like you!! I personally restrict my snarling for Hillary!

Mainly, because they realize as long as Clinton keeps pleading his own case in front of captivated (captive?) audiences, their attempts to reduce his legacy to nothing more than Monica Lewinsky are doomed to fail.

You mean the relentless attempts to raise his legacy above an eight year oral sex orgy are doomed to fail!

And here I was thinking that it was only the liberal women hacks that were strapping on the kneepads to service their dark master!!! Wotta ignorant shill!!

You should have seen the old newsreels of the women fawning over Adolf Hitler like he was some rock star. I guess Clinton has that Hitler charm as well.
