How can anyone top Mark Steyn? For incisiveness and elegance of expression, he takes the gold medal every time he sets pen to paper.

There's this as well: He's his own man, and he needs no one to tell him what's right and what's wrong. Altogether too many of our opinion elite seem to live by the code, "Show me the way the people are going, and I will lead them."
