How is the presentation of historical fact interpreted as "Muslim Bashing"?
Does the truth hurt?
Muslims are sick and getting sicker.

Forgotten Legions by Anthony Munoz covers collaborationist SS units, and has chapters on Handschar, Kama and Skanderbeg. Munoz also wrote
The East Came West about Arab and,
inter alia, Hindu(!) volunteers for the Axis; interesting read. Theres a brief discussion of the Bosnian Muslim units
here, about 2/3 of the way down.
For a discussion of how Kosovos SS past was prologue to its present, check this out. Yeah, Trop, I know its emperors-clothes, but so what.

Most muslims are better than Islam. It is those who are most consistent with the inner dynamic of their faith who perform atrocities. Excellent post, thanks for the insight. Very interesting.

Question: Were any Muslims or their clerics tried for war crimes at the end of WWII today? If not, why not?

"Muslims are sick" eh? Watch your back my friend. The secularist humanists are using simplistic bashing of all Muslims only strengthen their attempt to bash all people of religious faith. Have fun while you can but you will be next.

"For this reason, I generally like to avoid simplistic bashing of every member of a major religion."Don't seem to mind simplistic bashing of anyone who disagrees with you, though...
One question: How many other major religions can you find, today, whose major leaders - not merely the oddball adherents of minor sects - outspokenly advocate holy war (or 'jihad') against, and annihilation of, entire races?
Besides the Muslims, that is?

Ah yes...what would a day be on FR without reflexive and indiscriminate bashing of all Muslims?I'm all for the war on terror, and all for exposing the sick hatreds and twisted puritanical/absolutist/facistic/utopian precepts of Islamism.
At the same time I believe in making equal efforts to highlight, defend and support "moderate Muslims" (by which term I refer to a panopoly that includes secularists, traditionalists, modernists, minority or moderate sects, etc, who share the characteristic of being genuinely anti-Islamist).
As my contribution to this end at FR, I have been tagging appropriate articles with the keyword "moderate Muslims" and/or posting such articles myself. I've been lax about adding materials lately, but you are welcome to help (unless you just came to bitch).
