You MUST listen to this AUDIO of Tom Daschle & Bill Clinton talking about Saddam Hussein in 1998 vs what Tom Daschle & Bill Clinton are now saying about Saddam Hussein. It is the best example of Demmycrat HYPOCRISY that I have heard in a long time.

Anybody else hear this on Rush today? I'm sure glad Rush provided an audio link on his website. Please send this link to your friends. Daschle & Clinton are exposed as the hypocritical FRAUDS that they are.

I just finished a brain tennis match with a liberal lawyer childhood pal o mine, where I learned something valuable and time-saving.

For a true liberal, all precedent, everything that ocurred before W was sworn in, is deemed immaterial. Even mentioning something that took place before Jan 2001, unless it involves Nixonian duplicity, is BY DEFINITION a cowardly attempt to change the subject.

Also, ALL counter-examples, by definition, are non-sequitors. Period.

This covers all war and ethics related issues, and is a real time-saver.

It's still amazing to hear their quotes on audio side by side. The 1998 version of Daschle & Clinton completely contradict the 2002 version of these two hypocrites.

You're either changing the subject, or raising a non-sequitor.

Liberals have the intellectual integrity of alley-cats, and I say that advisedly, lest PETA hear.

Most remaining Bush critics can't help but sing Clinton's praises. I punch holes in every praise of Clinton, but they refuse to believe me. So, while they might not like criticism of Clinton, they want to brag about his so-called achievements.

Good thread. This is blowing up in their faces. The old rules of politics don't apply any more. Enter a brave, new world, where a plain talking Texan wins by simply being consistent, while the double-talking gamesmen hang themselves.

In other words, liberals defiantly strive to ignore history, and therefore repeat its most ignominious failures. Hmmm... That explains a lot.

Hey, Bill's not facing impeachment now, so why should his 1998 statements apply? You Freepers insist on taking statements like these out of context.

Bump back atcha. The only principle they adhere to is expediency. Rush and FOX News have done an incredible service by bringing this comparison about.

Has Daschle or Clinton responded yet to Rush's publicizing of their hypocrisy?

In case you don't or can't get the audio, consider this for fodder:
________________________
"Democrats say action was 'quick and decisive'
Senate Democratic leader Tom Daschle and House Minority leader Dick Gephardt issued a statement of support for the military strike and its timing.

"We fully support the president's decision today to undertake military action with our allies against Iraq," Daschle and Gephardt said. "Saddam Hussein's defiance of U.N. weapons inspectors is a clear violation of the international community's determination to ensure that Iraq no longer poses a threat to the region."

The two Democrats said Clinton "acted correctly and responsibly by taking quick and decisive action against Saddam Hussein's egregious behavior."

"Any delay would have given Saddam Hussein time to reconstitute his arsenal of weapons of mass destruction and undermine international support for our efforts," Daschle and Gephardt said. "It also would have been contrary to the president's commitment in November to respond militarily to future Iraqi provocations."

Gephardt and Daschle also alluded to the pending impeachment debate, saying, "Saddam Hussein should make no mistake that despite domestic political differences in the United States, the American people and Congress stand firmly behind the defense of our nation's vital interests." "

This is being spun as an example of petty partisanship, but it may be worse than that. There has been a noticeable increase in democrat dovishness in the last few weeks, since it was announced that the Saudis had hired certain Washington law firms associated with democrats in pursuit of their "public relations" efforts. Now these firms are not engaging in any known legal work. How it works is this: they are paid a lot of money for "consulting." Then individual partners "separately" make large personal contributions and hold fundraisers for selected politicians. In other words, the influence that they sell really consists of money laundering. If we had any real investigative reporting, i.e., if the media was not just a wing of the democrat party, we would see reporting on the contribution activities of members of these law firms subsequent to the Saudi involvement. Where Cindy Jihad made her mistake was taking the money directly from Arab interests. This put the democrat party in a bind, because it was infuriating their big Jewish donors in NY and Hollywood who raise about 30% of their money.
