No group has control over its most psychotic members.

A civilized society does not raise psychotics onto pedestals the way the Palestinians have done with Osama.

Outside the US Muslims celebrated. Inside the US there are many reports of them doing so. Some reports are dubious to me. I sure wish there were some photos of the celebrations in the US....

I didn't see Zogby's statement, but I'd bet my next paycheck that it was clintoned in such a way that he gave the impression that all reports of Muslim celebrations were false, but if he were challenged he could claim that he only meant reports of celebrations in the US.

I gathered that from reading the thread, but it doesn't matter.

Yeah, I have my questions about John Zogby, if the topic involves Israel. But otherwise, I have to admit, special sauce or not, he was the closest on the 2000 election.

Maybe he somehow found out how much fraud the Democrats were going to attempt.

Today's celebration incident.

The woman heard three Middle-Eastern-looking men celebrating Wednesday in a Shoney's restaurant. They spoke perfect English and were all legal residents. They talked about planninng something big for today and laughed about making the rest of us mourn.

Hopefully, the police can find out what the plan was before it is too late. The autorities are sure on this one as a very high threat

Not all Arabs danced in the street

You're right. Some of them danced on the sidewalks.

Here's a reference to add to the list:

"City E-mail Endorses Terrorism "

On September 12, almost exactly 24 hours after terrorists slammed hijacked jets into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, an accountant in the Houston city controller's office sat at his keyboard and typed a gloating e-mail to a friend in the city legal department.

"What's your take on this bombing?" asked the sender, a slight 30-year-old man of Pakistani descent. He went on to offer his view:

"I say it's great and wonderful and probably the best thing I've seen in my life.

"The world got what it deserved.

"Persons are rotten, evil, and thrash [sic] so this is what happens when they act like that and I hope a full scale war breaks out over this."

Any evidence of such behavior betrays the lie that all muslims are peaceful. It does not justify mob violence against such celebrators. When arab interest group decry their portrayal in the media, they don't deny the homocidal bombers (they defend the action as being the "only weapon" these people have).

Snopes is liberally biased.

Sometimes it is in the phrasing of the summary statement of the rumor (a different word here or there and the statement can shift from (Green)True to (Red)False or (Yellow)False with some truth or (grey)Unsubstantiated).

Here's an article, I could site some other observed examples:

Online Rumor Mill Spins Its Own Myth

I'm still wondering when Alec Baldwin will be arrested for his death threat on Henry Hyde and his family.

Alec Baldwin on Conan O'Brien's Late Night show: "If we were in other countries," he shouted, "we would all right now, all of us together—all of us together would go down to Washington and we would stone Henry Hyde to death! We would stone him to death! Wait! . . . I’m not finished. We would stone Henry Hyde to death and we would go to their homes and we’d kill their wives and their children! We would kill their families!"

Sounded to me like he was trying to incite violence.
