They are born here for economic reasons. Their loyalty is not toward the US as shown by their totaly unfamiliarity with US culture and manners and by their attendance of a celebration in Chicago on 9-11.
In a similar way, the 5 Yemenis were awaiting attack orders to commit terrorism against the US even though they were also 'technically' Americans.
Perhaps their lawyer informed them about the penalties for making false statements to law enforcement officers, and that Taqiyah(lying to infidels is OK in Islam) would get them into much more trouble than "it was just a joke" would.

The bastid. I think it would be a good idea for these 3 so called native born Americans to read a book about the culture and history of the US. They acted like they just got off the boat from Karachi, not like Americans at all let alone native born Americans.
