We're At War With Islam; Not Terrorists (My Title)

Craig Winn, Coauthor of Tea With Terrorists

The 700 Club
September 16, 2002

Craig discusses the origins of Islam and his insights on why terrorists kill.

When the second plane hit the WTC Tower, Craig knew he had to complete the mission that the Lord had given him - and that is to expose the true nature of Islam. His first impressions were that we would misunderstand the mission, and that we would handle it wrong in that America would not understand the forces behind the attack.

When he began his mission to expose Islam, Craig thought that he would merely find a story of a 4,000-year-old family feud. What he learned instead was far more sinister. To get to the heart and root of the religion, Craig received intelligence briefings from Israel's IDF, Mossad, and Shin Bet, as well as America's military, CIA, and FBI. He went to the Middle East and met with Israeli and Palestinian ministers. Craig went into the Palestinian areas with three others who can corroborate everything he has written. His meeting with terrorists was set up with the help of a Mossad agent, who told him they could not in any way help him once he crossed over into the terrorists den - a sobering thought. However, "I am called to do this," he says.

When he encountered the terrorists, Craig told them that he wanted to know who they are, why they kill, how they are funded, and who supports them. He spent six hours with them, and, amazingly, they were very willing to oblige by telling him everything. Craig says terrorists are keen to manipulate the media and to get their message out to the world.

Upon his return to the States, for four months he spent eight hours a day studying Islam, studying and learning the Quran. He looked Particularly at Muhammed and how he lived.

Craig says the biggest deception is that Islam is a peaceful religion. He came to that conclusion after studying the Quran and Muhammad's own words. "His own words condemn him," Craig says. "September 11 happened because Muhammad is a terrorist."

Craig says his studies reveal that Islam began in a bad way. Mecca was a small town among the Arabs who roamed the Saudi Peninsula. At the center of Mecca was the Ka'aba, one of the few remaining purely pagan shrines consisting of 360 idols, mostly stones. Pilgrims were charged fees to put their "god-rocks" inside. Muhammad's father was the Ka'aba's custodian. His name meant "slave to Allah." Allah had long been revered as a pagan god - in fact he was the moon god. The rock in which Allah lived had three daughters. The pebbles were named al-Uzza, al-Lat, and Manat.

The Ayatollah Khomeini put out a death threat on Salmon Rushdie, the British novelist, for writing Satanic Verses, the Muslim account of these three goddesses. At one point Muhammad said it was okay to worship the three sisters until he later reversed himself and had these verses expunged from the Quran.

Craig says so much of the Qu'ran is based on the written Hebrew Scriptural accounts that Muhammad changed to fit his purposes. What didn't fit he made up, with major Biblical characters becoming Muslims in the transliteration - Jesus, Noah, Moses, Abraham, Adam. Craig notes that the Hebrews have facts and an historical record on their side when they recount their history; Islam does not. Also noteworthy is that Muhammad performed no miracles in the process of building his religion - as did the Hebrews. Instead what Islam has is a legacy of bloodshed and terror.

Craig says today's terrorists are less violent than Muhammad and that the record shows "Muhammad's life mirrored Hitler's." He says Muhammad practiced genocide, was a polygamist, a rapist, a pedophile, a liar - and said it was good to lie. When the Jews disputed Muhammed's version of the Scriptures and condemned them, Muhammed declared war on them, decapitated them, and sold the women into slavery. His vision of heaven was one big orgy, with martyrs being rewarded with from two to seventy-two virgins depending on how they got there. Women in Islam don't fare as well. From the Book of Belief, Ch. 17, vs 27: The Prophet said: "I was shown the Hell Fire and the majority of its dwellers are women who are disbelievers or ungrateful." "It was asked, Do they disbelieve in Allah or are they ungrateful? He replied: "They are ungrateful to their husbands for the favors and charitable deeds they have done for them." In essence, Muhammad said hell is filled with Muslim women who complain.

Craig says fundamentalist Christians who believe Christ become like the One they worship. At the same time Muslim fundamentalists become like the one they follow. Since Christ is gentle and peaceful, His true followers are peaceful. The converse is also true: Since Muhammad is violent and cruel, his followers become like him. Craig says, "Sadly, Islam is a lie of gargantuan proportion." As a nation we have deceived ourselves by thinking and saying otherwise. In the long run this deception can only hurt us.

Each of the following statements is a lie. Do you know why?

Islam is a peace-loving religion.
The God of the Bible and the God of the Qur’an are the same.
We are not at war with Islam.
Terrorists like Osama bin Laden have corrupted their religion.
Islam doesn’t promote the killing of innocent women and children.
Al-Qaeda is a fringe group of radical extremists.
There is a place named Palestine and a people called Palestinians.
Palestinians are victims, suffering under Israeli occupation.
It is in the Palestinians’ interest to grant them independence.
Arabs will be satisfied with the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
Our politicians and the media tell us the truth.
The world is safer now than it has ever been.

Craig is a friend of mine. We were in Virginia Beach this morning for his on-air interview with Pat Robertson. IMO, his opinions are politically incorrect, even for many conservatives, but they are well thought out and reasoned.

If anyone is interested in the book, you can get more info at

The 700 Club was one of the few newscasts covering intl affairs, primarily China in the 90's when NO-ONE cared about the outside world.

More recently, Pat R. focused a much needed spotlight on atrocities and attacks in Kashmir.

He has a clear eyed vision of the threat we face and kudos to him for telling it like its is.

So it seems with this author, as well. A dark vision, perhaps, but better to be a little pessimistic(realist?) than naive and.....

I think you are correct. The interview segment was suppossed to be 7 minutes, but turned into 13-14. It seemed that Pat was well versed on the subject. Apparently they will have him back for some follow up.

I heard what Pat said about Islamic society after 9/11 (and I speak as a mostly libertarian secular conservative suspiscious of Robertson and his ilk) and it was right on. I missed the part where he and Falwell blamed America (if I had heard about that then rather than weeks later I would have been far less forgiving). Generally Robertson is a very smart guy as long as he stays away from religion.

Hey i was surprised how much i agreed with his political and geopolitical analysis. Especially his clear eyed reporting on the jihadis. I liked his foreign affairs reporting on China etc in the 90's on the 700Club.

He's saying things that need to be said and that's very, very good.

Don't care if he thinks doing yoga lets in the devil or whatnot. Also wish some of hindu websites would stop smearing him.

Apparently sharia islamic law is already in place in france.. Where it is now a crime to even say anything negative of islam in public.

That's coming here, on the backs of democrats and socialists.

In the name of 'freedom', they'll imprison people who speak. Watch, it's not far away.
