A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 9/18/02
yahoo.com, whitehouse.gov

Posted on 09/18/2002 7:41:48 PM PDT by rintense

President Bush began the day by meeting with senior members of Congress, who later announced that there will be a resolution regarding Iraq before the elections. Bush then met with a group of cancer survivors, including Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong, and announced an increase in cancer research funding. The President also met with Czech Republic President Vaclav Havel. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

You're probably right about the farmer vote being Republican. I don't know, just my impression that the South Dakota farmers will vote for whoever promises them the best program. I never know, my friends that I think are conservative turn around and tell me they hate Bush, then the ones I thought were liberal tell me they love him. I give up!

Well, for some reason ALL DAY, I was thinking it was Tuesday so I don't know if a reminder would help but it certainly wouldn't hurt. Probably Wednesday a.m. would be even better for those of us who are short on memory cells.

and pass the info that there are supporters (that's you and me, NP) who love his orange ties

My two favorites are the red one with gold design that looks like watermelon from a distance, and the blue one with the electric yellow design that looks like aqua from a distance! Both of them give him such a glow! They are definitely his colors!

I have Creat-a-card and it came with a calendar. You can put reminders on the calendar and every day when you turn on your puter, it tells you what appointments you have for that day and you can program it to remind you of an appointment up to 7 days in advance. It also reminds you of birthdays, anniversaries, whatever. I wouldn't remember anything without it.

Yep - of COURSE I believe it! Just like when I called my brother and told him that I was going to shake the hand of the next President of the United States, tomorrow...on that day in Oct of 2000 in West Chester, PA...and out of the thousands there...sure enough I SHOKE HIS HAND. --Hubby even gave him a letter to read...and he took it! We told those Secret Servicemen in no uncertain terms...to TAKE GOOD CARE OF HIM! and they nodded that they would.

I knew then, he would win and be the best President we ever had. He lives hubby's and my motto..."do the right thing for the right reasons" and knows that it's the only way to be able to look yourself in the mirror and be happy about what you see. THAT will make him great. He "gets it."

I hope they read our thread and tell him how proud we are of him. --Oh...and tell him that I wore his Mom's pearls on TV the night of the election! I did whatever I could to help. Just like the orange tie is a signal, I hoped those pearls would tell him that even people who were surrounded by Dems could pop out and show they dared to care about his being elected. There were many people that were jumping up and down backstage that night...so happy when they announced he'd won.

Tell him that I swung open the sliding glass doors in our PA townhouse and turned up the volume and played "Ode to Joy" right after W was sworn in. I was soooo happy!

Go George Go! - you tell 'em what we WILL do, not what they want to debate about doing. YOU'RE THE BEST!!!!

I don't think that's going to float with W. He made nice with them for formality's sake, but he also told them his conditions and weapon inspectors weren't on his list.

Actually Seven, I believe most think it is a good idea for the US to take out Saddam. They won't admit it publicly because they are scared of him. But they are more then willing to let the United States do the dirty work. I am also betting a lot of deals are being made behind the scene. They want to be on the winning side.

Here is a good article about what Israeli's think of George W. Bush

Israelis Singing Bush's Praises

Here is a few quotes from the article

"Yitzchak Holtzman of Tel Aviv voiced typical Israeli sentiment when he told The Jewish Press, “Finally there is a courageous American president who understands how one has to deal with the likes of Saddam Hussein. I think he has to get rid of him once and for all and replace his regime."

" Prominent Tel Aviv attorney Mordechai Tzivin echoed Holtzman, saying that he was very pleased with Bush’s performance. “Finally there is a true undaunted leader of the free world,"

"What impresses me most about Bush is that he sincerely believes in principles; he has a strong sense of right and wrong, and in his view Israel is in the right. In the past, you got the feeling that American presidents said whatever was politically advantageous," she told The Jewish Press. "You don’t get that sense with Bush."

I don't know a lot about furniture, but I'll bet there are good reproductions out there. Not sure if the beautiful chairs Bush and Cheney are using are James Monroe-era or what they're called, but this photo is captioned with "Chippendale style Gainsborough Armchair

The webpage calls these Hepplewhite style

I am attracted to this style, too, but have no idea if it is French or English in origin or what to call it or anything. I just know I like it!

I just wish W wouldn't have consulted with the UN. Seems those b***ards have W in a corner! I'm stilling waiting for W to pull the ACE from his sleeve. Now I'm wondering if he ever had one. :( HOW IN THE world do you solve this dilemma the administration has gotten themselves into...thanks to BLAIR! Who btw insisted we go FIRST to the UN hell hole and gain their support! Can anyone here explain this more clearly to me! One thing I know for sure is that satan himself is calling the shots at the UN!

It is not going to cut it with Dubya at all. He already said we would go it alone if necessary. He is sending wording for a resolution to Congress tomorrow. Dubya is not messing around. If the UN won't do their job, he will do it for them. This will officially make the UN irrelevant. Who will pay any intention to them when they know they do nothing to enforce their own resolutions. What a waste. Time for the US to leave the United Nitwits.

He didn't consult with them. He patiently explained to them how irrelevant they have been, passing one ignored resolution after the other, and invited them to follow us if they wanted to become relevant.

Their choice (as if they were competent to make a decision ...).
