Don't bother writing Patsy Mink (D HI). She's in "serious but stable" condition in the hospital and hasn't been heard from in weeks. Family members are withholding her real status citing "privacy." Her name is still on the ballot for the primary, but speculation is running rampant as to whether or not she's even conscious.

Mr. McDermott alluded to the Vietnam War. "I saw what happens when you send your people to something where it is unclear why they're there, what the goal is," he said.
Mr. McDermott said the administration's goal is a regime change in Iraq...

First no one knows what the goal is, then everyone does. Who elects idiots like this?

Yah, aint it cool. They're going to stand up on a political ridge and skyline themselves. Gotta love it when your opposition dies for their ideology.

The list reads like the Progressive Caucus roll call.

The Radical Left has made it clear that the Democratic Party is the party of surrenduring to terrorists like Hussein. That makes the enemy as far as I'm concerned.

What I wonder is if Cynthia McKinney and Ron Paul will join these scumbags!

It's amazing what a change in political control of the White House will do to the "principled stances" of some congress-critters.

Four years ago, while "their" president, Bill Clinton, was in office, Kucinich, McDermott, Kaptur, Jackson-Lee, Morella*, and DeFazio voted FOR the Iraq Act of 1998.

Once Bill Clinton signed it in October of that year, a policy of REGIME CHANGE in IRAQ became United States law. (*Yes, Morella is nominally a Republican.)

Although my politics couldn't be more opposite hers, to her considerable credit, the only congress-critter mentioned in this article who has remained consistent through the years is Barbara Lee, who voted against the 1998 Iraq Act. If nothing else, Ms. Lee is at least not hypocritical.

"Naked aggression is not the American way,"

Try telling that to any female who finds herself alone with Bill Clintoon.

Actually this may be good. If Bush can continue to make an excellent case to the U.S., These congresscritters' jobs may be in jeapardy.

If they trulybelieve its about oil, they can vote to drill in ANWR and stop the war before it starts. Drill in America and let the Iraqis drink their oil.

House Democrats form anti-war coalition

It's more like the "Don't let Bill get overshadowed" coalition.

I agree. Litmus test for "progressives"

Either vote for drilling in ANWR or shut up about the oil in the Middle East.

We've seen it and heard it all before. I wonder why Demoncrats are first in line to be anti-American on something that requires a show of national unity.

I hope that when the terrorists strike next (and they will when they perceive weakness and division) that these Demoncrat weenies stand up for what they said and did.

However, like those that opposed the "next Vietnam", the Persian Gulf war, they will probably just erase the public record and pick up their flag to wave it with all the others who did support our country. Sunshine patriots need to be remembered on election day!

A group of 19 House Democrats yesterday pledged to build a congressional coalition to oppose a U.S. military attack on Iraq.

Are they going to wait until Saddam releases black pox on their families? Don't they suspect that Saddam has an intelligence apparatus that has the goods on all of them? That they, more than anyone else, could be a target?

Why aren't these people scared?
