The Cycle of Justified Violence

Our prison system is overburdened with non-violent, pot-smoking "criminals" while the big time dealers never find their way to prison. In the meantime, child molesters are given suspended sentences and walk free. I cannot begin to grasp the logic of our criminal justice system.

Politicians and bureaucrats "justify" keeping their jobs and reelection by protecting the citizens from criminals. If there's not enough criminals they create a boogieman followed by laws to protect the people from it. Thus creating a new category of criminals. Lock up the boogieman-pot-smokers and let the violent criminals reenter society so they can create more violent crimes and the people will speak out against the violence and cry out for politicians and bureaucrats to do their job. The cycle of justified violence.

To many of us...the drug war itself is a huge Clintonian exercise

Whew, now there is a Clintonian statement.

Oh BTW, how come you all have never denied that Clinton supported pot use on MTV.

You need to take a look at the modern Democratic party. The "60's" drives their whole agenda, IMO.

Socialism taken to the point of Marxism is what drives the Democratic Party...indeed, all government these days. Read the history of socialism...you will see that it pre-dates 1963.

But by focusing on pot all it does is make them look like complete morons.

Worse than morons, it shows them as liars. When kids hear about the horrors of MJ and see that it is BS, they assume that the similar stories about Heroin and cocaine are also lies. We thus encourge hard drug use by lying about MJ.

Just the same well meaning mistake occured in Genesis, when Adam embellished the warning about the tree of life. By telling Eve not to touch it, he gave the serpent the opening to show that touching it had no effect, so Eve went all the way and ate. Right on point!

I never watched Clintons lips... or listened to his lies. I watched his actions.

Actions that any Drug Warrior would be proud of.

Uh, who controls the modern Democratic party? The answer is 60's pro-drug socialists, that's who.

I know you don't like the answer, but trying to wish the answer away does no good for your arguement, IMO.

Where did you find that nonsense?

Americans have had 50 years to learn about marijuana and know that it is not the demon drug that the ONDCP wants to make it out to be.

Here's the thing. Walters and other high-ranking drug warriors know what you say is fact. They have built a house of cards and it is collapsing because it is based on lies and illusions. Honest truth always outlives a lie. They are on their last gasp. It's like the obnoxious drunk that doesn't know when to quit much less how to quit.

Something more important to the government then the "will of the people" is at stake here. What could it be?

The WOD. That too is going to collapse with Walters leading the charge via his marijuana lies. The WOD is being increasingly backed into a corner.

Really? I am sorry but anybody who puts his own "pleasure" over the national interest, is someone not to be proud of.

Face it, Clinton is the epitomie of the drug culture that you defend.

Do it if it feels good. Damn everybody else.

The answer is 60's pro-drug socialists, that's who.

Sex and drugs and ex-communists (Sep 19)

BERLIN (Reuters) - Germany's ex-communist PDS party is enticing young and first time voters with the lure of sex and drugs on the Internet ahead of Sunday's general election. However, it is likely to disappoint those hoping for a cheap thrill. The link www.sexunddrugs2002.de provides access to the party's website and its stance on gender issues and its plans to legalise cannabis and tackle addiction to hard drugs.

The drug war industry is bigger than U.S. Steel.

So is the illegal drug industry, for that matter.

Lotsa money to fleece the American people out of.

JMO, but it seems that the leftist pro-drug groups have fleeced a lot of money out of you.

Exactly. Without criminalized pot there would be no justification for such an enormous drug war machine. That's a lot of cushy gov't jobs down the drain.
