This is a clue to Gore's intelligence. Why would he give the speech he did when he knows this information is coming out by Tony Blair. You would think the guy would say, "I'm not saying anything till I hear what the Brits have to say." Shows a tremendous lack of judgement on his part. Of course no one ever said Al was the sharpest knife in the drawer.

70,000 troops in Germany spend a lot of money there. The officers are encouraged to live in the 'economy' rather than on base in order to help the German citizens. Most of the civilian type jobs such as snow removal, cafeteria workers, etc. on done by German civilians. Perhaps it's time to pull those jobs and that money back.......and give them something to really complain about.

Way past time!

Before we rid them of the Russians, they could pretend superiority to and could hate them -- and the East Germans.

Now they don't have that delusion to ease their gas-chamber-operator neuroses, pretty-much all of their very real, essentially envy-based and hesperophobic, hatred is directed West -- at US.
