President Bush met with President Alvaro Uribe of Colombia today, and discussed the war on terrorism, as well as Columbia's continued efforts in fighting the illegal drug trade. Bush also met with the Boys and Girls Clubs National Youth of the Year finalists in the White House. This evening, the President attended the National Republican Senatorial Committee dinner at the National Building Museum. Meanwhile, First Lady Laura Bush was in Mexico City attending the 11th Conference of Spouses of Heads of State and Government. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

This may have already been answered a dozen times, in which case I apologize ...... but it's Jennifer Short ..... the little girl frm VA who was missing after her parents were found murdered ..... whose skull may have been found. The skull of a young person has been found in northern NC .... only about 30 miles from the Short's home in VA.

" but what was wonderful about today is he lied, spun and twisted the President's words so blatantly that even CNN had to report on it."
I didn't hear the speech but have read what happened on the floor today, now explain to me, exactly what did the Chicken Noodle Network say? Cnn reported that Dasshole LIED??
Byrd is really old. My guess is he just wets himself

Laura looking stunning in her lovely dress:
Laura looks so beautiful in that lovely, cranberry-colored suit...
Wish we could get more pics of Laura in that gorgeous red dress.
There's one more from yahoo images that I see:
They did not imply it, they out and out said it.

Deb, Please send me your address again. I would like to get one of those videos of the CBS interview. Check will be in the mail tomorrow. With the storms here, followed by hot water heater replacement and clogged drain disaster, I forgot! Sorry!
The skull of a young person has been found in northern NC .... only about 30 miles from the Short's home in VA.
What sad news. That poor little girl.
No, CNN would NEVER say he lied. But
they had to report his misuse of some
Bush & Cheney quotes, in one case from
an article that also misused them. It
was all taken out of context.
Woo hoo! Your post made my day!
Daschle a lousy kisser, who would have thought? (snicker)

Go Dubyuh Go!! Real Americans are behind ya!!
I dunno about Izzy.... We've spent a lot of time over the last two days getting storm ready but it wouldn't hurt my feeling if Izzy didn't show. LOL The winds are approaching hurricane force again, it should make landfall early tomorrow morning. If their projections are right we'll be on the west side of the winds which is the least forceful side.
Right now we're under a tornado watch too but they seem to think that flooding will be a bigger problem for us than the winds. It rained all last night, all day today and it is still raining. Down in New Orleans they had about 8" of rain today, Canal Street is beginning to look like a canal. The French Quarter is all boarded up and there was a 10pm curfew down there tonight.... that has to be historical. LOL. A stretch of I-10 near the New Orleans airport is closed. If I disappear for a few days it will probably mean that I'm without power or that my ISP which is located in New Orleans has ben flooded out. Please say a little prayer for everyone in Izzy's path.

short to reach unless the lady bent down. "
Pearl, I don't think the lady bending down so that Daschle could kiss her would do any good. He'd have to sit in her lap.

Oh, you're right, Dana Milbank has written some very snide articles about the President. Some have been just downright nasty.

I'll be thinking of everybody in the path of Izzy and praying for their safety. I sure hope you have a safe place to be in case of high winds or high water. Let us know if you can. Good luck and God bless.
If only Trent Lott could get that same fire when fighting the democrats on the senate floor.

A Plea for Relief from Oppressors
1 O God, why have You cast us off forever?
Why does Your anger smoke against the sheep of Your pasture?
2Remember Your congregation, which You have purchased of old,
The tribe of Your inheritance, which You have redeemed--
This Mount Zion where You have dwelt.
3Lift up Your feet to the perpetual desolations.
The enemy has damaged everything in the sanctuary.
4Your enemies roar in the midst of Your meeting place;
They set up their banners for signs.
5They seem like men who lift up
Axes among the thick trees.
6And now they break down its carved work, all at once,
With axes and hammers.
7They have set fire to Your sanctuary;
They have defiled the dwelling place of Your name to the ground.
8They said in their hearts,
"Let us destroy them altogether."
They have burned up all the meeting places of God in the land.
9We do not see our signs;
There is no longer any prophet;
Nor is there any among us who knows how long.
10O God, how long will the adversary reproach?
Will the enemy blaspheme Your name forever?
11Why do You withdraw Your hand, even Your right hand?
Take it out of Your bosom and destroy them.
12For God is my King from of old,
Working salvation in the midst of the earth.
13You divided the sea by Your strength;
You broke the heads of the sea serpents in the waters.
14You broke the heads of Leviathan in pieces,
And gave him as food to the people inhabiting the wilderness.
15You broke open the fountain and the flood;
You dried up mighty rivers.
16The day is Yours, the night also is Yours;
You have prepared the light and the sun.
17You have set all the borders of the earth;
You have made summer and winter.
18Remember this, that the enemy has reproached, O LORD,
And that a foolish people has blasphemed Your name.
19Oh, do not deliver the life of Your turtledove to the wild beast!
Do not forget the life of Your poor forever.
20Have respect to the covenant;
For the dark places of the earth are full of the haunts of cruelty.
21Oh, do not let the oppressed return ashamed!
Let the poor and needy praise Your name.
22Arise, O God, plead Your own cause;
Remember how the foolish man reproaches You daily.
23Do not forget the voice of Your enemies;
The tumult of those who rise up against You increases continually.
Yes, I never thought about it until today when I was so angry that I started thinking that Daschle needed to kiss my royal Irish.......Then I remembered what my friend told me about him. Even back then she said he was political. Actually with President Bushes great genes Daschle should kiss his royal Norman/English......
Ooh! Post 13, the picture of the real lady in red, the First Lady! How beautiful she is! I have been out of town for the past couple of days, so I don't know what everyone is talking about concerning a great day for Pubbies! I will have to play catch-up!
but they said the goal is to help the President and to regain the Senate.
That must happen!
Hi everyone...I've been gone from the dose for months, haven't even lurked in a while...good to see all the regulars are still here and rintense is still doing a marvy job.
I see Tiny Tom really stepped on his pygmie _ _ _ _ today. Why do South Dakotan keep voting for this moron?
Yeah, he was ranting and pointing his finger in the sky. He really is dramatic. I've known some people from his part of the country and I've never met anyone who was the epitome of a southern orator like he is. In fact, I have always thought it was all an act and he has finally come to believe his own playacting.

Ok, how many people out there would like to belt Tom Daschele in the mouth??????? I admit I am one of them.
I admit to being one of those who would love to slap that idiot, but I am not sure I can REACH DOWN THAT FAR!
Great Pictures - Thank the Lord for this President, his wife, his administration!!!! Just passing through quickly, Doser's.....but thought I'd throw this out - Both Inoye and DASHIEL (Sp) voted AGAINST involvement in Iraq in 1991.....what a tiny, itsy bitsy, little, teeny, weenie "man" that lying, scheming, scummy, piece of ....well, you get my gist - he's so pathetic - and a LOUSY KISSER too!
KKK Porker. I like that name for the old fart.
And the Dems like to trash Strom Thurmond? I'll bet old Strom has more marbles rolling around up in his head than 'Old Blue's' owner does!

Daschle voted against the Gulf War...
Yes he did and all this crap about having it go through the UN is bogus. Daschle says W should do it like his daddy did. Well, gee Tom, what's the point? His Dad created a coalition and had the goods on Sadaam (who had just invaded another country) and you STILL VOTED NO!!!
Why the h*ll should W even bother with the likes of you.
I had a field day today - phone calls to Daschle's office, faxes to Daschle's office, called Liebermann and Miller's offices as well. Oh, I also called Maria Cantwell's - yawn!
