Ragtime, THIS JUST IN... They think the moderator was biased AGAINST THEM. LOL Here's their summary of the debate last night and some snide remarks too.

here's my take. moderator asks a question. 1st answer from mcbride. 2nd answer from bush.

2nd question. 1st answer from bush. 2nd answer from mcbride. now a 30 second rebuttal for mr bush. 3rd question. 1st answer from mcbride. 2nd answer from bush.

4th question. 1st answer from bush. 2nd answer from mcbride. now another 30 second rebuttal for mr bush.

i made 7 or 8 calls to wjxt to complain and was told that they couldn't do anything about the 'impartiality' of the moderator. finally about 8:47 he offered mcbride a rebuttal to bush's comments. 1 time in the entire debate!!!! please make your feelings known to wjxt, wedu and the st petersburg times. this was absolutely outrageous behavoir on the part of the moderator and wjxt. absolutely unbelievable. PLEASE make your feelings know. if you feel as i, dont sit back and let it pass. i just can't believe that this went down this way.

don't let the corporations freely influence the 'bozo' vote. let them know that what they are about is unconscionable. your help made the difference in the debates airing or not airing. don't let them do this again. it's time to get 'mad.'

As you can see, they are going to play the race card at some juncture. I used to keep these emails a secret matter but at this point, we all need to see what the McBride camp is up to.

corporatetraitors.com is a Petition to stop tax dodgers. Now isn't that interesting? I bet you Candidate McBride has dodged a tax or two in his day. That was one of the specialties at Holland & Knight.

He's a hypocrite about raising our taxes because I bet you he has his own funds safely tucked away in the Bahamas where he has a home. That's why he never says "my wife". He doesn't want his wife to become a part of any debate. Hmmmmmmm, I wonder why? See my last post above. The dems are getting ready to pull out the race card. How pleasant of them. It's time for divisiveness when all else fails.

What they evidently don't know about debate is that if McLawyer/McAuliffe had answered the questions presented instead of attacking/accusing/defining Governor Bush, the rebuttal time would not have been granted to Gov. Bush. McLawyer/McAuliffe got only one rebuttal opportunity because JEB! answered all but one of the questions directly without interjecting McLawyer/McAuliffe into his response.

I think you are making a HUGE contribution by obtaining and sharing this information. I'm thinking of infiltrating the next two debate gatherings/parties to see what I can learn.

gop4me, I read your posts #532, #538 and #542 just now, as this is the first time I have had a chance to read this entire thread.

I think there are two very serious problems in FL public schools, and I will tell you what these are: (1) good news about public schools is often not reported, and (2) bad news that needs to be reported is also not reported.

For an example of my first point: I am public school teacher in FL, and on open house night, several parents - several parents - told me they had enrolled their children in this public school because of its excellent reputation with other parents. And, to do so, they took their kids out of a private school. I am not kidding. Parents with kids who are shopping around for the best education know there are many outstanding public schools in FL. Does every parent know this? Do you? Probably not. However, it would bequite interesting to find out:how many new students in FL public schools came out of the private school sector -- because all we ever hear about are public school kids going into the private schools.

Second, Collier County, IMO, is in fact a disgrace in many ways in terms of its public schools, because here you have one of the wealthiest counties in the state (if not the weathiest) with one of the highest teacher pay scales in the state -- and, yet, despite its money,this county is scoring BELOW AVERAGE on state tests.

I would tell you Collier is an example of a public school system with a serious problem that is rarely if ever reported in the news: the problem is called nepotism.

True story: As a new graduate of local teacher program, my entire graduating classwas summoned down to the Collier County School Administrative Office where we were basically told, as a group, NOT to apply for teaching positions. Seems we were not "experienced" enough since we were all new teachers. Nevermind that we all lived in the community. Nevermid that many of us were lso parents in the community.Never mind that many of us had subbed for years in the schools. Never mind. We were not wanted,even though we had jumped through all the hoops and passed all thetests. All teaching positions were filled and would be filled.

Now,who fillsthese teaching jobs? Well, it seems to me if you are married tosomeone in that school district -whether you can pass the teaching test or not-you will have a teaching job. Collier appears to have one of the highest rates of uncertified teachers in the state. If you know someone with influence in the school district--which is located in beauitful Naples--you will have a job. You always meet teachers from wherever who happened to be best friends with some principal in Collier. What is the result of all this? I don'tknow. But, my class was told,point blank, do not apply for a teaching job-- while many teachers in Collier are notcertified and everyone in Collierknows how political the local school system can be. In recentyears, the school district has become "sensitive" to its horrible hiring reputation and spent lavish sums of money on splashy "jobfairs." Then the newspaper feature some new teacherfrom Oshkas,Ill. who landed a teaching job on her first try in Collier.Tell that to all my old classmates who(1) left teaching or(2) moved out of Collier to start their teaching careers because they did not intimately know the: "right" people.

If you are basing your view of this state on what happens locally, in COllier COunty Public Schools, you will have a very lopsided view indeed.

Please tell me, specifically, what Jeb Bush has done to improve the schools of Florida? What has he as a Governor done to improve the Florida school's rankings? Lets be honest here. The Teachers Union doesn't trust him and neither do I.

I really don't know. Double pings aren't that bad and people can always skip the threads. I am not that high volume to begin with. I treat my pingees with kid gloves so they don't want off the list. But, my list is retiring after the complete election is over, including, the after-cheating that I am sure will happen.

Then there's phikapmom's SUPERSIZE LIST she's creating. I'm supposed to send her my list and nobody bowed out so my list wants to be on her SUPERSIZE LIST.

I bet he's hiding out somewhere. How can one human being get accused of bias by the two opposite sides? But, then again, THIS IS FLORIDA, where the bizarre is the norm.
