If albums were great, I would be actually willing to pay $25 for them. But these days, there are often 2 good songs, and 8 filler ones that are dreadful. So, basically, you are paying $8 a song.

When I was a kid, I would listen to my parents old Beatles records, Led Zepplin, etc... and the albums were solid throughout. They were also cheaper. So now we pay more, for less. The music industry is to blame for this one. They are eliminating the single. They were selling tape and cd singles, but are ending the practice. So, your choice is buy the whole package, or nothing. Any non monopolistic business and they go down fast.

If we had to buy a car with jiggly dice, plush countertops, detailed paint, the stereo of their choice, etc... etc... we would be angry campers. RIAA is turning music into this.

Before, some of the revenue from singles would actually go to the artist. Now, with no single, people who just want the song and not the album are going the mp3 route. RIAA sucks.

Of course now days it only takes ONE hit to be a superstar and completely set for the rest of your life.

Something like this is not fair and leaves me with absolutely no pity for the record companies and artists.

I think that these artists should stop complaining. God forbid they lose a little money and they don't get to get there heated floors or that 8th TV in the car, with playstation 2 and X Box and Gamcube on it. I mean come on. The money they get should go to teachers, because if it wasn't for teachers, they wouldn't be able to spell or write, or even count money. They need to do more concert's and other things to make money. Believe me from what I see, they ain't losing to much. I watch Cribs. So I don't feel a damn thing for them. If it's that bad maybe they should get a second job. Maybe being waiters or factory workers. Until then they need to stop crying.
