I agree, your analogy is definitely dumber. The issue is, state condoned mass murder, not homosexuality. The idea is, to make an ignorant populace aware of what really happens when an abortion is performed, and to also make them aware that what they are killing, is a human being, not an irrelevant blob of matter. Those so called "over the top pictures" have saved many innocent babies lives, and as long as they are shown, they will continue to do so. This is what this is all about, saving the lives of the most innocent.

You have identified the problem. Thank you for your compassion for my cousin. Many of us would NEVER think of aborting, but sometimes horrible things happen and people have no cnoice. I wish these rabid animals would soften up a bit. After all, it is not THEIR body, it is not THEIR situation. I think abortion is hideous by the way

" The idea is, to make an ignorant populace aware of what really happens when an abortion is performed"

With all due respect, I think you have taken too much to heart, the insulting phrase "never underestimate the intelligence of the American people". I know there is plenty of evidnece to suggest it is true, but I feel, for our OWN sanity, we need to have more hope than that, and at least consider that many of those we have dismissed as idiots deserve the benefit of the doubt

Reply to post # 204: Which proves my analogy was quite correct.

Reply to post #203: Then, am I to assume, that you don't take the state condoned murder of over 30 million unborn children since Roe v Wade to heart? Very interesting. Also, ignorance, doesn't necessarily equal idiocy.

Well...no...not actually.

You're initial response was a fallacy:  an attempt to draw an analogy to an issue which could not be fundamentally compared to the issue at hand.  In more formal terms, you engaged in a straw man argument.  I always ignore straw man arguments.

The fact that you've decided you "won" the "argument" when I, in fact, was dismissing your opinion as irrelevant to the subject I was actually discussing means absolutely nothing to me.  You have "won" nothing for two reasons A) You never addressed the actual subject and B) I already agree with your position on abortion.

Response to post #209: The actual subject was addressed, and in such a way, that you could not defend your position. So you now choose to take refuge behind a charge of irrelevance.

Really? So, what was the subject.  What is my position?  What is yours?

Or, are you not capable of articulating even that?

Reply to post #211: To refresh your memory. The subject was, the banning of all airplane towed signs being towed over the city of Huntington Beach by the Huntington Beach City Council, because an anti-abortion group was having signs towed with pictures of aborted children on them. You stated your position in post #8. I responded with an analogy of your stated position in post #169 followed by a clarification of, and reason for, my position in post #201. If you re-read these posts it may prove helpful in your recollection. Good luck.

Obviously my posts were over your head which is perfectly understandable. If you will ask me specifically what part of my posts that you are having trouble with, I will be happy to progressively simplify my response until I reach the level of your comprehension.
