I was pretty freaked out already as I walked away from this crowd as you might imagine...we left as a unit to avoid getting hassled although my female buddie there is a martial arts instructer and ALWAYS packs heat....What do you suppose was the last photo I took that afternoon, not 5 blocks from this demonstration of the unwashed and intellectually unencumbered?

I'm sorry to hear about the Seattle police response to keeping you all safe and letting the other protesters break your ranks. Kudos to all of you for the courage it took to exercise your First Amendment rights in the face of such a large group in opposition.

Great job Libertina and all who attended.
Libertina, I am sorry I could not make it up. I am having some serious transmission problems and did not want to risk getting stuck along I-5.
I am getting the car fixed and next time I'll bite the bullet and drive up in the Chevy Truck. You can imagine the hesitance, it is a C-20 with a 454. About $80.00 in gas to get there and back again.

I saw us on the Northwest News Channel this morning for a second. The woman with the short blonde hair and the red sweatshirt spoke briefly and we were described by the reporter as a "couple of dozen". I was back in Portland by 10:00 p.m. so wasn't able to search the local Seattle stations. It was worth it to go even though we were way outnumbered by the other side, many of them obviously stupid and/or misinformed and some behaving badly. I noticed that we did get encouragement from passerbys so I think we had a lot more support than it looked like.

If even just a few brave FReepers counter-FReep these anti-war leftists every place that they hold one of their hate-fests, then it will drive them crazy - and most importantly the media will have to report our opposition.
Of course it would be great to get large numbers of FReepers out there protesting, but it only takes a few sturdy FReepers with funny signs and good sound bite quotes for the reporters to make an impact.
