Pennies From Heaven

Perhaps not from Heaven, but your 17 pennies per day will help support Free Republic.

Sometimes I get Freep Mail and email from lurkers who want to know what value I get from my monthly pledge to Free Republic.

It is really amazing the value of real return we get from our donations and monthly pledges to Free Republic.

Here is an example of a dream that became a project and is now a reality thanks to Free Republic.

This sign just north of Medford, Oregon on I5 North is a prime example of Freepers activating themselves.

I started a series of Oregon is Burning or Oregon is Still Burning threads this summer during the massive fires due to the agendas of the Enviral Whackos.

A group in Oregon and those out of Oregon who knew what was happening had more good news and data about those fires than any other place. They shared that news, data and strong feelings with the rest of us on Free Republic on those threads re Oregon is Burning.

One day, Ebuck came up with the concept of putting a bill board up to let the public know who was responsible. Immediately, a Freeper who wants to be unknown and lives a long way from Oregon, pledged a month's cost of that sign to get it going. Ebuck and others worked out the details of the signs. A small group of us pledged enough to put that bill board up for a couple of months. The money came from all over Free Republic.

This sign has to be fitting like a huge fishbone in the throats of the Watermelon Jihadists Greens in Oregon. We have them in a vulnerable spot.

This could only happen on Free Republic. This is why every Freeper should pledge at least 17 cents per day to keep Free Republic strong and alive. Just throw your daily change in a container each night. 17 cents per night is easily obtained. That is equal to a massive $5/month pledge.

This is what happens on Free Republic. If we had 5,000 Freepers donating $5/month or 17 cents per day to Free Republic, we would have bill boards like this all over America pounding the left wingers on agendas never given a chance by the left wing mediots in this country.

17 cents each day of your treasure loaned to you by God is all it takes to pledge $5/month. Can you imagine a 100 billboards up in America, whacking the left wing maggots where it really hurts them. Then save and donate 17 cents per day to enable these things to happen.

How about if, in good conscience, registered users simply take it upon themselves to make sure a monthly donation is sent to support Free Republic? Again, it's quite simple to do and there are several options.

It's hard to keep up with all of the signs, including the Zodiac signs!

Then I misunderstood it. it appeared negative, and along with comparing fundraising threads with PBS just didn't seem good.

I've been a regular contributer by credit card for about two and a half years now. It' easy and painless.

FR is my newspaper and my window on the world. Without FR, I would probably be stuck with some lamestream, liberal paper like the San Antonio Express News and have to settle for a rehash of stories from AP, NYT, WP or LAT.

Since I don't take the SA EN, I send FR what I would pay for it and still get much more than I pay for.

I get all the news that is worth reading; news that probably would not be printed eslewhere nationwide and editorial comments from a wide variety of informed and not so informer freepers.

That's why i contribute my fair share.

... and there's usually a good chuckle to be had here, as well. thanks.

regular contribution is the only intellectually honest way to deal with the situation.

... and Jim's bills don't show up on a random, pay them when you have a bit extra basis.

How about if, in good conscience,

If this is really what you wanted you wouldn't support plastering begging ads on every thread, would you?

When registered users (those who are not donating), in good conscience, take it upon themselves to make sure a monthly donation is sent to support Free Republic, the ads and Freepathons will disappear.

All it takes is 17 cents per day

I like the quotes too, but they lead to the conclusion that, if John Stuart Mill and Alexander Tyler were to strip to the buff, paint themselves orange, and publicly urinate on the Washington Monument, he would still be posting their quotes on his profile page. How do I know that? Same way he does - by groundless assumptions.
