When the news of this broke- as I recall, about 1997, in the Washington Times- I really thought it would topple the Clintons.

Two reasons- it had nearly every hot button "issue" the Media loves to chatter & jabber about- AIDS, money, death, abuse... and- the big and-- when I read the article on local talk radio, the Clinton Kool-Aid drinkers in the audience went ballistic.

By that, I mean that the minute I hung up, the station was deluged with non-stop calls from all the rabid Clinton supporters for the remaining two hours of the show. This being a small "city," I recognized all of them. I reasoned that if this story would draw them out so fast & furious, it must be the "killer."

But alas, the Press was more interested in protecting their symbiotes than educating the public.
