Eric Roberts just made a horses butt of himself and the whole liberal Hollyweird agenda against President Bush and the war on Iraq!
Everything out of his mouth was scripted on a notebook he held (in camera shot) and was nothing more than conspiracy theories that the loony left has been spouting sonce Bush 41.
Did anyone else see the less than one round TKO that Fox put on his weak arguments?

SINCE Bush 41, even.

I guess this was the only gig Roberts could get. This guy had so much potential. He was a very good actor. Apparently though, he was/is crazy as a loon.

He's even more ridiculous than his sister, and that's saying a lot!
But I loved how David Asman jumped on him.
To: OldFriend
Why is FNC even talking to these fools?

He spouted off that Poppy Bush and Osama's dad were friends and sat on the board of a cartel.
Didn't Osama's dad die in like 1978?
To: Wondervixen
Was one of his talking points "Ah need SHEWS, Manny!"?
To: OldFriend
Sarandon on too........what has happened to Roger Ailes......
I believe Roger Ailes is doing a good job in showing the american public what type of bozos these people are.
To: Wondervixen
I'm so glad you posted this - it was truly great to see how stupid Eric Roberts was shown to be. I just sent David Asman a congratulatory email about his handling of this leftist turd.
As I typing my email, imagine my shock to hear Susan Sarandon's voice from the TV. I thought we were being invaded by the useful idiots, but she was being interviewed about a movie she has coming out that I sure won't pay to see.
To: OldFriend
I think what Ailes is allowing is BRILLIANT!
Give the Loony Left all the airtime it wants!!! Exposure of that kind of thinking brings out the rest of this vast MINORITY for a public stoning they have had coming darn near forever!
To: inflorida; OldFriend
In fairness to Fox, Susan Sarandon was only on to plug her new movie, and was interviewed by Fox's Hollywood correspondent.
They cut to Colin Powell before she got to say anything stoopid.
To: Hildy
Well... Like Darrel Royal used to say, "potential means you ain't done it yet."

This was one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time.
I was sitting here laughing my head off at David Asman taking this jerk apart!
Eric Roberts is incapable of even putting 2 words together, much less trying to state an opinion, which he thought was facts, about why we should not attempt to stop Saddam.
Hollyweird...says it all.

I just watched him also.
If he was my brother, I'd threaten him to NEVER open his mouth publicly again about politics or world affairs. - EVER.
He came across as an eighth-grader on drugs.
Nonetheless, I hope FOX interviews him again, often.

hehe, yes, i happened to catch that one too. Geez, you would think with him being an actor and all he could memorize his lies...er, i mean lines, rather than having to read them verbatim from a notebook. Good job by the Fox anchor (Asman?) to shut Roberts off at the end when he started to go completely looney bringing up some inane conspiracy theory.

I think Asman actually gave him a break - it could have been much worse.
I'd love to see Roberts try to argue his case without those talking points in his hands.

To: Wondervixen
The guy is an idiot (and I mean major league) and should never be allowed to go out without his keeper. The people who do his TV show must be dying -- if not of chagrin, of laughter. The Fox guy was taunting him! But I wanted to scream at the Fox people, "Who cares what this cretin thinks?"

I watched it...through the tears from laughing so hard. Eric couldn't even carry a thought without looking at his "talking points"--that he tried to read from, frequently. He was spouting the pre-written anti-war line, and it was obvious, he had no clue what he was talking about.
Followed in the next interview my Susan Sarrandon. If FoxNews gets any more fair-and-balanced with the Hollywood lefties, my tv will tilt off into the floor.

"Now armed with the PBS misreport, some conspiracy writers think Osama bin Laden blames the United States for the death of his oldest brother, the family's leader throughout most of the 1970s and '80s after their father's death in 1967." So Eric Roberts is obsessed with a man who died in 1967. I am pretty sure that George W wasn't buddies with a man who died in 1967.

I liked the line Asman got in about, "well, maybe thats how you see it out there in Hollywood" or something similar to that.

To: inflorida
If the mainstream media can make our guys look like fools and idiots, why not use Fox News to make THE OTHER SIDE'S people look like fools and idiots? Turnabout is fair play.

I had to stop watching. It was so embarrassing. I wonder if he even realizes how ignorant he sounded. My 14 yr old son could have done a better job. You know Julia was watching. I wonder if she is proud of her brother. Probably. She is an idiot as well. Oh my god, what possessed him to go on national TV so ill prepared? What a putz.

He sure could have been a contender but instead he's just a washed out wife-beater making movies that go straight to video.
That wife beating "quality" seems to be a trend doesn't it? Baldwin, Roberts, Jackson Browne.....

Letting these idiots spout their crap is good. If we can see how stupid they are a lot of other people will too.
To: 3AngelaD
Most interestingly, I found it fascinating that Roberts command of the situation was limited to a script of fast and loose constructed by Rob Reiner and Barbara Streisand. Roberts himself had absolutely nothing to bring to the party. I liked him better with only one thumb.

Why is FNC even talking to these fools? Because opening their mouths removes all doubt that they are indeed - Fools!
Best advertising we have is to give the dems a rope and let them hang themselves with it. Its even better when there's a tough interviewer who won't lob softball questions and will challenge the resoning and logic (if you can call it that) of the fool in question.
To: OldFriend
Nothing has happened to him. He is showing us the "Loony Left" in all their stupidity. Just like the "Peace Activist" moron who was on Hannity and Colmes last night. He was so bad even the Communist got frustrated with him.
To: wardaddy
Roberts hasn't been the same since he got his b*tt whipped by F. Murray Abraham on the piste in the movie By the Sword!
To: bonfire
I'm glad to hear that FNC let them make fools of themselves. When I first read this post I thought that FNC was treating them as though their opinion mattered.
To: Skel
Asman sternly told Roberts, you can't say what Bush is thinking when the President's spoken words are the opposite. He added you're not going to get away with that here. LOL. Priceless!

Yeah, I saw it too...
He was bad.... asman chewed him up and spit him out.
To: bonfire
Yes, but he did have on his horn-rimmed glasses.
By the way, I have heard that conspiracy/Big Oil/bin Laden-Bush connection by some of the people who post here, who accuse me of being a Bush-bot.
I wonder if they are nervous that they share talking points with Eric Roberts.
To: anoldafvet
I disagree.......these people give sheeple ideas and then they go forth and spread them......
To: inflorida
At the end of the interview, Asman said " you can read more about this on the Internet.........but not on FOX"
