windchime, great post. caltrop, I see I am not the only one thinking what I told you in my recent freepmail....McMumble's non-platform is not exactly impressing this editorial writer in St. Pete either.

I hear you summer. As you may recall from our recent freepmail, IMHO this is a referendum on Bush. Recent polling indicates Bush can't top 50% and offers persuasive (to me anyway) evidence that the more the voters see of him the less they like him. Since that's the case, not being Bush may be enough to win.
When a liberal beefs about a lack of specifics in a Democrat's campaign it's ususally because he's not hearing the candidate say the things he wants to hear. I suspect McBride knows that if he tells the liberals what they want to hear it'll kill him in North Florida and the Panhandle. So far McBride's run a smart campaign. That's a lot more than I can say for Bush.
