The hunt for the D.C. area's Psycho Sniper took two huge leaps forward yesterday, as sources revealed detectives have a video that may hold the maniacal mass murderer's face - and officials released a composite picture of a white box truck believed to be the cold-blooded killer's ride. A surveillance tape reportedly caught a suspicious person during Wednesday evening's attack on a 53-year-old engineer, who was killed in Manassas, Va., by the mystery gunman who police say has killed eight and wounded two in his spree.

I saw a TV interview of a sniper who is the head of a fraternal organization of retired snipers. Basically he said the adrenaline rush of "manhunting" is so intense it would be extremely difficult for a sniper to shoot someone and then calmly get behind the wheel of a vehicle and slowly drive off....

This is a foreigner or someone trying to sound like one. Nobody who's first language is English speaks with such syntax.

There's a lot in this that appears similar to disinformation tactics. What comes immediately to the eye is the ability to note "a small dent in the rear bumper" but not to be able to describe the writing on the side of the truck -- or even what color it is (black or purple).

This is odd information to put out in this way. If there is a composite or photo of the perp, one would think there would be wider distribution of it in this environment -- to get neighbors, or people this man has met to identify him.

Some things certainly don't appear to add up in this.

While this is the more likely scenario, there have been co op nut killers before. The Hillside Strangler in Los Angeles turned out to be two guys working together, Buono and Biannci if I recall the names right.

Your theory is also held by Major John Plaster (The Ultimate Sniper).

He was on a local talk radio show last week talking about this. While I thought that no muslim would say "I am God", Plaster thinks that it is possible that the killer's translation is flawed, and that he meant to say "I am with God". The "Dear Policeman" also sounds like bad English.

I don't have any good numbers on the distances of the shots made by the sniper, but Plaster also said that he could teach a 16 year-old girl who has never seen a gun to make those shots within a weekend.

So what happened to the white Chevy Astro van (truck)? This was described by men who worked at a gas station across the street. I would think they would know their trucks and cars better than the average person. One of them said there were two people.

Just heard on Fox News, they are making a sketch of the white Chevy Astro too. I'm surprised how long it is taking to get the sketches out to the public.

Based on the New Age tarot card, the "Dear Policeman" remark and because there appears to be an accomplice involved, I'm betting the killer(s) are a young man in his early twenties and his grlfriend.

It could be something like that here. Whatever it is, people in that area who plan on going out to an area where they could be isolated without witnesses around should carry camcorders and start taping everything around them. It might be good protection to be obvious about filming your surroundings also.

Interesting idea, yours. It seems the public is being "driven" in a certain direction. Remember how people immediately thought the Fed building bombing was Middle Eastern terrorism, but they pinned it on McVeigh? Now of course links to those "others" are occuring.

My feeling is that if it were Al-Qaeda, they would have much more of an impact if they did this in 3 or 4 cities at once. Could you imagine the paralyisis then? They could really create some havoc by doing it in more than one major urban area.
