Wonderful. Getting out of UNESCO was the right thing when President Reagan did it, and staying out of it is the right thing to do now.
I think there are no treaty agreements, and isn't an "executive agreement" good just as long as we continue to agree. So that congress or the president could dismiss it tomorrow? If so, that's hardly "binding".
". The U.S. Constitution clearly specifies what lands, and the purposes for which the federal government may purchase land."
As I recall, it's fairly vague regarding the purpose of land purchases.
It's these kinds of apparently misleading statements that undermine the credibility of conspiratorialists in the minds of the people. But to build a conspiracy that's also threatening enough to sell more copies of WND and News Max, they have to exaggerate. It's not that I don't see the conspiracy. I see it for what it is, not for what the editors need it to be. In that way, I see one more conspiracy than most of those here, Lol!
His organization (Freedom 21) is accredited by the United Nations and takes part in on many of their functions. He is also one of the most rational, down to earth, educated and informed people I've ever met in my life.
Wildlands, UNESCO and Agenda 21 are very real. Dig a bit deeper with objectivity and you'll see this clearly.
The specifics you're looking for on land purchases don't exist, it's a mission outline. The details are left to the many public and private orgs involved in implementation. Ever read any Gramsci?
This is happening, it's not pie in the sky. They really do seek control and power, and they really do have a lot of very wealthy and very powerful allies. You may take a lighthearted approach to this, but I can't.
I understand what you're saying about controlling the message, but eventually the truth is going to have to be told.
Power, fame, personal validation or Christ complex, we're all pursuing some of that at some time. Whatever your friend is thinking, he's apparently not above a little exaggeration. The other side would call it lying. I dont take any of this lightly. I wouldn't have taken the time to investigate dozens of similar conflicts if I did. But I'm learning as I go that most radicals are at least a little misguided. I've learned to probe how much so early, before being mislead by them.
I found an interesting WSJ story on Gramsci. But going back to our original subject of the Rebellion, I wouldn't suggest leading with something so esoteric as that if your motivation is to influence people.
I don't recall the "specifics I'm looking for on land purchases" you're talking about. I suggested listing individual who suffered hardship as a result of flooding and foreclosure and indexing them for easy presentation. Once you have that, I dont think you need to get into a wider populist conspiracy on the Gramisci model or anything like that. Just tell the story of the destruction of lives, and document it well. It's got way more worm puppy appeal than conspiracies, and I suspect it's exactly the kind of things candidates like to get behind and throw at their opposition. Who knows, you might even attract some favorable media coverage from those that don't understand how fundamentally they are at odds with you. And theoretically, once the principle that fair market valued needs to be paid for confiscated property becomes PC, the Grimaceque eco conspiracy is priced out by it's own devise.
I agree with most of what you're saying, almost everything in fact. Controlling the message and communications is key, your advice is well taken.
The facts presented here are for ears such as yours, because you asked. I've talked to you many times before, hence I'm aware of what I could "get away with". If I'm talking to a soccer mom or a poison-pen reporter the keyword "UN" never crosses my lips. I realize at that point my argument will be flushed down the toilet.
I'm about typed out and I have a super busy day starting, but let me ask you. Being that you're a Floridian now, is there any chance you might get up to the event?
Good find!
I couldn't have said it better. Maybe they won't have internet access.
I agree that that the Gramsci article was well written. I think Google Groups Search is a very underutilized tool for research like that. http://groups.google.com/advanced_group_search That's the first article to pop up on his name.
I'm afraid I can't make the event. With our first baby due in 3 weeks . And our bathroom reconstruction's at least a week away from completion, the wife would have my head if I took a day off now, Lol!
I wish you guys well, and I'll be listening.
