All is not lost:

Cotter ordered an inventory of the machines, using their bar codes, shortly after he was hired.

They know which machines are missing. If they turn up on election night, and others disappear, the places where they turn up will be suspect.

If Florida dems are paying attention to the fraud investigation going on in South Dakota, they may not want to deal with swapping machines. If they're not paying attention, let's pray the FBI is.

Don't bet on it-

There was VIDEO of a Gore worker bending and twisting ballots to pop out the chads-

I have a copy of this video on my computer somewhere... it was also shown LIVE on TV at the time, and nothing was ever said or done about it

We're being shut out in the Florida press and at the polls, it appears. We can speak out. We need a bigger soapbox.

GEE! I THOUGHT THE STAIN WAS MOVED TO SOUTH DAKOTA. DON'T TELL ME we've still got hijinx in S. Floriduh. How much did MacAuliffe pay his rent-a-mob to steal those?

Question number two? What body of water did they go to? Okeechobee, the Atlantic, the Gulf or maybe in the Hillsborough River by McLawyer's humble home.

THE OLD BAIT AND SWITCH. Who ratted them out re: the 18 missing machines or is that part of the plan to confuse the seniors again so they're afraid to vote and turn to a helpful democrat for help.

We want integrity and I'm sick of them manipulating our seniors. STAMP OUT VOTER FRAUD.

Commissioner Suzanne Gunzburger said. "This is taxpayer dollars being wasted, and I'm just appalled."

Bull crap!

If she was upset, why does she not try to correct the problem?

How? By having a Grand Jury investigate and indict the SoE.

Then convict the Soe and send her to prison.

The stain has never been on Florida. It's been on the democrats. It will show up wherever there is enough light to see. Any state that can't see it is still in the dark.

This county needs to go to the hand ballot system-SIGNED hand ballot system. Those machines could be rigged, could be brought into play on election day-silently added to various voting precincts and none would be the wiser. It is time to halt this nonsense and blow this scheme out of the water. Shame on these democrat districts who call foul play when it is THEY who are to blame. STOP THE CHEATING! (Course-if the cheating is stopped, how will a democrat EVER win? Hmmmmmm.)

Well, we will have to "shout it out" (the stain) if McBride cheats and steals the election. They want him in there badly. But, if they want to toy with us, the front lines - us are experienced under adversity and the pubbies always have better attorneys. Gee, even their attorneys are CROOKED. Florida Circuit Court Judges don't like out of state, smarmy lawyers like David Boies.

They will show up election night full of demonrat votes. The 'Rats down there literally can't do one thing right in regards to voting and counting votes. They can't think enough to know how to place controls to ensure fairness. Losers one losers all.

"This is very serious," Cotter said. "This is $54,000 in taxpayers' money that we can't find. ... No records, or very inadequate records, were apparently maintained of who took the machines from the warehouse and where they were going."

If the rats are taking it so goddamned seriously why isn't the demented Broward Sheriff Ken Jenne and the rest of his yahoos arresting people?.

I guarantee that this type of flagrant fraud is going to suceed unless people start getting locked up.

If the situation was reversed, rat prosecutors and law enforcement would have people in handcuffs in a New York minute.

If the GOP isn't willing to fight the rats on their own terms they deserve to lose.

Oh, they'll turn up all right. On election night, with just enough votes for McLawyer and a bunch of other crooked Dems to "squeak" by their Republican opponents.

Most of the replies to this thread presume that the "missing" machines would have to be tampered with and then returned to the ballot places in order to inject bogus votes into the election.

THIS IS NOT NECESSARY FOR FRAUD TO OCCUR

As a programmer, here's what I'd do...

1. Get my hands on one or more stolen machines.

2. Play with them as long as necessary to figure out exactly how they work, what safeguards they contain, and more importantly do *not* contain, and how the software in the machines is updated (no computerized piece of equipment these days is entirely *hardwired*, they all have ways to insert a floppy disk or whatever containing bug fixes, upgrades, adjustments for new data requirements, etc.)

3. *Then*, I'd just write a software "upgrade" for that model of machine (and test it well on my stolen machine) which could modify the behavior of *any* such voting machine in order to make it favor my candidate.

4. Now all I'd have to do is sneak the upgrade into one or more of the machines which are *not* stolen, and presumed "pristine" -- or *all* of them, if the election board is stupid enough to hook these machines up to phone lines for "automatic updates" or "automatic vote reporting".

"Hey, Harry, the manufacturer has a last-minute update for all the machines in this precinct, could you load it for me?"

Done right, the modified software would even self-destruct after the dirty deed had been done, and restore itself to be identical to the manufacturer's actual most recent release, at which point the machines would test as "untampered" no matter how closely they were inspected.

Because their value is largely limited to voting, Cotter thinks the machines have been misplaced.

I couldn't possibly think of another value voting machines might have to someone. Was there a reporter on this story?

The machines will be tracked more carefully in the Nov. 5 general election, Cotter said. County workers will pick them up immediately after polls close and deliver them to the election warehouse.

S'okay! :^D

To ALL Freepers and Lurker voters:

GO to the polls and vote for Bush. Take your friends with you to do the same. If you know any Zell Miller type Democrats that support Bush and they are voting for him, take them as well.

Vote EARLY to avoid the rush. If you wait until November 2nd, make SURE to go and vote!! And if you do wait until November 2nd, remember:

IGNORE ANYTHING IN THE MEDIA YOU HEAR (i.e., making a fast, early call in Florida for Kerry, etc.). WE CAN AVOID A REPEAT OF THE FLORIDA ELECTION DEBACLE OF 2000 THIS YEAR IF GOP TURNOUT IS STRONG, imho.

Yes.

Way too easy enough for a good (inside) operator to fake the electronic votes, then destroy the internal (programmed) evidence.

Method.

Motive.

Opportunity.

Add one more:

Concealment: The MSM REFUSES to aknowledge or report democrat vote fraud.

Oh! You pinged everyone, whoops. No bum steer intended. This was a reminder.

*When* these machines disappeared is not the point. If they are still out there, every precinct across America that uses them, has a problem.

How can they be used? They can be swapped out for matching machines. Erased machines are then swapped for other machines and so on...

Every precinct needs a poll watcher who will follow the machines to a locked vault.

They need to do that in Milwaukee, too. Just this morning the election commission struck down Republican lawyers who challenged over 5,000 fake and non-existent addresses on new registrations. They even went around photographing the addresses that turned out to be gyro stands and empty lots. Just struck them down and said there wasn't enough evidence and all 5,000 bogus registrations stand. Unbelievable! Kerry WILL steal this election. I don't care what the polls say, the dems will come up with enough in fraud.
