If they have 'em, I would expect we know where. Why not just H-bomb the facility. It may not destroy the nukes, but it would sure as hell make 'em hard to find or use. Then we can ask them to give our reactors back. That is what I would do, but I guess that's why I ain't president.

I thought that the reactors that the US and Korea pledged to build could not produce nuclear bomb material. Rather, North Korea has other reactors on the Chernobyl model, that do make bomb material.

One American official described the North Korean attitude as "belligerent", rather than apologetic.

Gosh, how uncharacteristic of them.

Bush/US will never attack N. Korea on the scale of Afghanistan. The Chicomms would never stand for that, it would be the equivalent of them invading Mexico.

No need. Construction is underway on them, but they're nowhere near finished. All we need do is refuse any further assistance or component shipments.

I can not BELIEVE how naive and stupid Clinton was to actually HELP the N. Koreans build nuclear power plants- and then think they wouldn't attempt to build a nuclear bomb! How in the world did this guy get elected?

North Korea 'Has Two Nuclear Bombs'

You can thank the Nobel Peace Prize Winner and the White House Piece Prize loser for that.

They don't have the reactors yet - some concrete has been poured, is all (if I remember correctly) so nothing there to take back. If I were king, I'd just ignore them for the time being. But more importantly, what have they sold the Iraqis?

A concerted effort by our enemies to try to stretch the US thin

This public admission means that the powers behind Korea are ready to spring the trap. Now that China has taken delivery of the sunburn missile toting Russian destroyers they have the ability to neutralize the American Carriers. I think this is a raise and call.

I agree. 8 years was too long to do NOTHING. I hope we are both wrong. I've never wanted to be wrong so badly in all my life.

Anyone who even pretends that Clinton didn't do great harm to this Nation is abhorrent, and disgusting. Enough is enough. Our enemies struck us while we were weak. America was greedy, and only money counted. Where will money get us if we are severely damaged? How many of those same people who cared more about money, than security or defense, will lose sons and daughters to those decisions?

A lot of people died because of him, God willing, a lot more won't.

President Bush and the administration have their hands full. God Bless them all.

"I thought that the reactors that the US and Korea pledged to build could not produce nuclear bomb material. Rather, North Korea has other reactors on the Chernobyl model, that do make bomb material."

The nuclear program North Korea admitted to involves enriched uranium. Uranium enrichment doesn't involve a reactor—it's a purely chemical process, similar to refining petroleum into gasoline. The most common process uses gas centrifuges, high-tech equipment that Pakistan swapped to North Korea in exchange for NK's ballistic missile technology.

North Korea shouldn't have any nuclear bombs or reactors. It's time to rectify this situation, which is a security risk for Japan, which is our ally.

Of course the Commies would never nuke S. Korea. They'd rather just take it over and steal the whole show.

I see we now have choice. Live as slaves or die. I prefer to die.

How about you? Would you rather live as a slave, or die? This may be a more mportant question than you think.

On News/Activism Oct 15 11:51 AM #669 of 824 Do either of you know when Bush signed whatever he did for the ICC (International Criminal Court)? I believe that with that signature that for a year they cannot grab the soldiers and take them before the court. Also Saddam already has nukes! About a year ago I saw compelling evidence to show this. Satellite pictures and testimony from a defector.

Also about 3 and half years ago I was flipping through channels about 3 o'clock in the morning and on c-span I ran across the senate in session. It was chilling. I saw these guys flipped out on how far the development of WMD was in countries such as Iran, North Korea and Iraq. According to what was said there these countries already have the technology. This session was about developing our missile defense system. They decided that there was a great need. I guess that now sending ground troops into a country that has egomaniac madman with nuclear capability in place makes sense to most on this sight. I guess they think that he will be kind and nice enough not to use nukes. I guess time will tell. MCD

Well I posted this before any story came out about it! Why is everyone so surprised? Maybe if people would start looking into things and do a little research (find it from diffrent sources that have no connection) maybe more would not have been surprised about this or about 9/11 or any of the other things that are going to come.

MCD

From another thread.

Carter Wins Nobel Peace Prize in Swipe at Bush

Oh Yeah! Our guys in uniform have to really thank Carter for his "peace" efforts.

Thanks a lot, Jimmy!

Well actually bombing their WMD facilities is a pretty good idea, although I think using an H-bomb would be overkill. However, Powell confirmed today that no military action is being contemplated against North Korea. In fact, he hasn't even stated that we will stop appeasing them yet with massive foreign aid and nuclear weapons producing reactors! I should think that the Bush Administration would have wanted to dump the DPRK Communist appeasement deal by now. Fortunately, the reactors only began construction this summer and will not be ready until next year. Now, the President needs to get Japan and North Korea to stop financing their construction and he needs to do so without delay.
