Countdown To Victory

Top 10 Ways You Can Help Before Election Day

1 Join the Sign War
Place a sign in your yard or office window. Drive around your neighborhood to make sure signs didn’t come down overnight. Make sure candidate signs are up and looking sharp.

2 Display a Bumer Sticker
Put a bumper sticker on your car or on a community bulletin board as a morale booster. (To avoid peeling off a sun-worn bumper sticker, tape it to the inside back window of your car.)

3Pass Out Campaign Literature
Walk your neighborhood with campaign literature and remind neighbors of the upcoming election. Your personal touch could help the swing voter turn out in the GOP’s favor. Take the kids and make it a family affair.

4 Mail in Absentee Ballots
Make sure your friends and neighbors send in their absentee ballots early.

5 Celebrate with Signs
Celebrate the democratic process. Gather your friends, find a busy intersection and wave yard signs to support your candidate. You’ll be reminding voters that the election is near and your candidate is the right choice.

6Serve as a 72-Hour Volunteer
HELP WANTED are the watch words in the last 72 hours before the election. Volunteer coordi- nators with each campaign or at the state party will let you know where you’re needed most.

7 Work the Polls
Working with your local campaign or state party, get a list of targeted voters and check this list Top 10 Ways You Can Help Before Election Day against the official polling place list to make sure targeted voters have voted.

8 Help with 72-Hour Flushing
The 72-Hour Flushing staff uses the targeted voter information to “flush out” those Republican voters who have not voted. Contact your state party to find out how you can help get these Republican voters to the polls on Election Day.

9Make the Call
Call friends and neighbors to remind them to vote. Local campaigns and state parties can provide lists of targeted households. Volunteering at a phone bank can also be a lot of fun, and it’s a great way to meet other Republicans in your area.

10 Act as a Designated Driver
Drive volunteers to targeted precincts and get voters to the polls.

Gore/Lieberman good enough?

Thanks for telling us where you stand so Freepers can see for themselves and ignore your anti-Republican posts! You should change your name because you are no Liberal Loather with a comment like that since Gore is one of the biggest Liberals around!

Easy does it PKM, he was making fun of the term: "bumer sticker." I didn't notice it at first either. Having a Gore/Loserman sticker on your car certainly would be a "bummer."

In South Ga, if Chambliss signs were worth a dollar, I could retire in a day. If Cleland signs were worth $10, I'd run out of gas before I found enough to keep looking.

REP. SAXBY CHAMBLISS FOR U.S. SENATE

Chattanooga Free Press
October 20, 2002

While Tennesseans have the opportunity to replace one able conservative with another in the United States Senate, Georgians have an opportunity to elect a conservative senator instead of a liberal one — thereby returning control of the Senate to those supporting President George W. Bush.

Georgia’s U.S. Rep. Saxby Chambliss is seeking to provide sound service for Georgia in place of the liberal voting record of incumbent Sen. Max Cleland.

This is not a contest of personalities but of principles. The stakes are high, for Georgia and for the United States. With conservatives one vote short of a Senate majority, the election of Rep. Chambliss could make a tremendous difference.

Georgia is generally a conservative state. Georgia has supported President Bush. Georgia’s Sen. Zell Miller, a Democrat, has often been a valuable supporter of President Bush. Rep. Chambliss should be elected to the Senate to strengthen the president and assure strong support for sound constitutional principles.

One of our local FR chapter projects is to be poll watchers for Tim Hutchinson. I start tomorrow with early voting. Somebody needs to try and keep the Rats honest. Tough job though.

Of great importance to Texas conservatives; stress the importance of the Dewhurst race for Lt. Gov. Seems to be the most common ticket splitter here in West Tex. I guess due to Sharp's high name recognition. Legislatively, Lt. Gov. has more clout than Perry will. Lt. appoints Senate committee chairs and members, controls flow of bills to the floor, and chairs the Legislative Budget Committee. Governor has only veto control of output. Polls show this is the closest statewide race. Sharp as Lt. Gov. will guarantee gridlock at best, a Dem agenda at worst.
