Arkansas Democrats are trying to steal the Senate election by registering dead people and businesses to vote, illegally allowing early voting on weekends and not requiring identification to vote, Republicans said yesterday.

At least six dead people tried to register to vote, including one helped by a person also listed on campaign-spending reports as having received $100 by the state Democratic party, said Marty Ryall, Republican Party chairman.

"Hope they prosecute these crooks"

See my post #20. I'll do my best. There are several FReepers on the job in Arkansas. Pray for us!

Sweetliberty, I was a Poll watcher when Mike was elected Governor. The looks I got from the Workers were killing.

It's a lousey job, but needs to be done. I feel your pain.

I can never recall showing a photo I.D to vote...they only compared my previous "signature" to the one I put down at the time.

At least six dead people tried to register to vote, including one helped by a person also listed on campaign-spending reports as having received $100 by the state Democratic party, said Marty Ryall, Republican Party chairman.

"I can understand why they needed assistance," Mr. Ryall said.

ROFLOL!

On Monday, Republican poll-watchers attempted to challenge voters who did not have identification, and when one voter produced a Michigan driver's license, they challenged that person's residency.

"When the worker challenged that voter, about 30 people came over yelling that she was obstructing voting," Mr. Ryall said.

So let's be clear. The voter had produced no ID, as required by law. When confronted, the voter produced an OUT OF STATE - MICHIGAN - drivers license, clearly NOT acceptable ID for voting in ARKANSAS, and standers by had a PROBLEM with poll watchers further questioning the voter???

Unbelievable.

Good luck today, let us know how it went. I am going to try and get a camcorder for election here. Virginia doesn't, to my knowledge, have a lot of fraud. We have to be registered and a list is maintained. You are then checked off when you vote. Maybe someone around here could set me straight on this if there is fraud in Virginia.

keep this in the news bump, everyplace we can get this out translates to gains for the GOP senate candidate.

Fan the flames, as the expression goes.

Cut and paste this into your To: box in your email or the Bcc: field if you want each email to look individual. let the networks know this bias is unacceptable

TalkBack@CNN.com; Reliable@CNN.com; NewsNight@cnn.com; late.edition@cnn.com; InsidePolitics@CNN.com; ConnieChungTonight@CNN.com; Dateline@nbc.com; MTP@nbc.com; today@nbc.com; lauren.kapp@abc.com

My letter:
The last few weeks have had several stories about voter fraud, but I haven't seen any specials on your program about it. Why? This has nationwide ramifications.

You've had: Double voting in New York and Florida
Illegal voters crossing into Wisconsin
A report from WTMJ in Wisconsin showing mentally
handicapped people being bribed to vote.
Illegal voting on the indian reservations of South Dakota

In the 2000 elections, your programs made a great fuss about the "disenfranchisement" of the people, but now you are letting these stories just pass as though they were of no great worry. Several states in the 2000 election were decided by less than 1,000 votes. These stories show that the American people are having their will diluted and perhaps overturned by voter fraud.

Because most of this voter fraud seems to favor the Democrats, I can only infer your silence as confirmation of "bias" that has been the topic of so many recent books.

Please look into this more closely to see how widespread this is.

Right on....the networks need to be flooded with these reports, and a demand that they be covered. Fox might do it.

Seems like the biggest problem this time around is with the states where there is a key race, The Rats are pulling out all the stops to steal the election by any means they can get away with.

When I lived in Colorado the voting process was very smooth and well-organized and every effort was made to inform voters. In Arkansas it seems there is a conspiracy to keep voters ignorant. Today was an experience and I can't say that I have any more confidence in the process now than I did at the outset. It was a chaotic mess. It quickly became evident that democrats were running the show. I was one of three republican poll watchers there. When one voter's ballot was challenged by one of the poll watchers, it quickly became evident that even the head guy had no clue how to deal with a challenged ballot and the clerk said she'd never had one before. The workers are predominantly black and it quickly became apparent that our presence there is not appreciated. My guess is that we are cramping their style. I DO hope so. They are also refusing to allow us to sit where we can see the names and the verification process very well. This is being reported. There were a number of irregularities in just a short time from assigning the wrong precincts to letting one impatient black voter cut in front of everyone to keep him from leaving. I can't help wondering if the same accommodation would have been made if it was a well-dressed white man who had not wanted to wait. They even picked that time to change the overhead florescent bulbs in the light fixtures...right over the heads of those who were in the voting booths. I am not looking forward to election day if this is a preview. What a mess!

So now I can think of two things to thank the Arkansas DemocRAT party for.

Jerks.

SL...the strange part of the poll watching, for me...was when the votes were being tallyed up, the three people who did it, wouldn't allow ME anywhere near that area.

So what good did it really do? We had the same ole Dems (I'm sure), counting the votes, and I wasn't allowed to witness it..

I hope things have changed. Have they?

"I hope things have changed. Have they?"

So far, not that I can see, but things are getting reported and at least charges have been made so it may be a little more difficult for them to pull some of their tricks, but probably it will just make it more inconvenient for them than anything. It appears to me that the loopholes combined with the chaos and attitude of noncompliance with legal directives and the Rat propensity to win at any cost will make it extremely difficult to keep them in check, especially when you consider that the higer authorities such as the city attorney and most of the judges that grievances would be taken to are Rats as well. It seems like a no win situation, but I also feel that I have to do what little I can to at least try to be part of the solution.

Get used to it. Here in Wisconsin the Rats are giving away bingo prizes to the mentally disabled.

Republicans say they are also concerned that county clerk offices plan to be open Saturdays and possibly Sundays for early voting.

I'm all for it... working people tend to be more conservative, and need a chance to vote, too. Welfare cheats can go any old time.

The Arkansas, and Pulaski County specifically, DemoCrooks will try anything.

During the 2000 elections it was just blatant and ugly. My voting district was forced to vote in a Union building that had Gore/Leiberman signs in front of it (100'feet from the door to the voting machines...barely)

I went inside and tried to vote. Yes, tried. I wasn't on the list. I wasn't alone. Three others were also waiting for word from Mrs. Staley's office about there registration. We all had one thing in common. We registered Republican. While waiting for a call I was told that the line out was busy so I'd just have to wait. (Keep in mind we were in a Union building.)

Now I make voting a special occasion so that my kids will remember it and keep it as a tradition. When the fifth (R) voter joined the ranks of the waiting I got upset. It is a good thing my kids were there or I might have ended up in Jail. As it is I was pretty upset. I asked again if they had any luck in getting through and was told that they still could not get an outside line. I asked politely who in the building I could speak with to secure a line. "I don't know. I don't think there is anyone here who can help you."

You Wanna Bet? I must have looked about how I felt because when I took my first step to the double doors separating the voting area from the union building she magically got through to the Secretary of State. Good job that. Probably saved the Union Hall a host of money on rebuilding. Definitely saved my kids the spectacle of Dad getting hauled away in a police cruiser.

In the end my vote never did get through. My registration was 'lost'. I filled out a contested ballot.

I don't think I could deal with that again. I moved to a rural area and will be voting in a public place. I have my proof of registration in my back pocket and simply won't let the (R) on my registration interfere with anything again. Even if I have to send my Kids to the car.

Thanks for the update. Is anyone filming these crooks? Rats must run the voting there. We need to sue for equal representation in some places.

Follow up: Is there any way you could get the media to come and film them in action? They may be rats also.

"Rats must run the voting there."

They are. And almost all the poll workers are black. That should tell you something. Not that I have a problem with blacks, but we all know that most of them vote Rat. Talking to others who have done this for awhile, it apparently gets very ugly in precincts where there is a black majority.

That would have ruined my day. If we don't prosecute this fraud, it is only going to get worse. The rats are out of control.
