Did you folks hear it! Maybe he has been lurking here more than we know! Finally someone on the national stage willing to talk about what the GOP would not talk about in the 2000 Election Cycle. I wait to hear the colective wisdom of all Freepers. Thanks.
TOPICS: News/Current Events
KEYWORDS: election; fraud; limbaugh

Yeah, something of a hunch.

Didn't hear it but it's always been true.
To: taildragger
With intensity, I believe that Rush is dead on target. And I believe the dispiriting the dems are doing, running circles around the spirit of our laws, ie Lautenberg's annointing (no primary, replacing a man quitting because he did not think he could WIN and wanted to preserve a majority of dems in the senate) stinks to the highest degree.
Dems, for the most part, cannot win if they do not cheat. And they know it. A pretty sad commentary.

Republicans get nailed because they always choose to take the high road.
They need to learn to play that against the Democrats by exposing the whole thing, on a regular basis, to the public.
Don't play at the Dems level. But point out you've found pigs in the mud.
The whole thing disgusts me.
To: taildragger
Yes I did. Is this surprising to you? I hope more voter(dims) fraud is exposed and quickly!
To: toupsie; All
The only way to get the Dems to take vote fraud seriously is for Republicans to do a better job at it--preferably with the help of Democrat operatives. Then you will see all manner of support for tough anti-fraud legislation.

The sad part is that they don't care. And neither do we. We take it on the chin every time. Just once ... once ... I wish we had somebody leading the GOP who had an ounce of cajones

Dems, for the most part, cannot win if they do not cheat. or lie... I told this to my RAT brother-in-law once and cuaght him by surprise. His eyes rolled funny as he sat silently. I think maybe a light bulb went on in his head or something. Time will tell.
To: taildragger
Did we need Rush to tell us that?
One thing I did hear is that Doug Forrester is only down by 5pts among likely voters. LET'S GO NEW JERSEY......ELECT FORRESTER
To: taildragger
The RATs always have the advantage in a close election because of their expertise at ballot fraud.
To: taildragger
Yes, I heard it!
After the 2000 Florida election mess and the NJ issue, it proves they will do anything to win - they can't win unless they cheat.

Oh, Ashcroft is doing something. That's why they are starting to scream. This will be a racist thing, attacking the rights of citizens to vote etc. This is where the entire war comes down to. Either we are willing to defend the electoral process of laws or we aren't.

If the RNC had ANY brains, they would run PSA's in key Democrat strongholds reminding citizens that voter fraud is a felony, with a subtle reminder of the jail time and fines that accompany a conviction for this CRIME.

To: taildragger
Of course they will. But it costs a lot of money and it remains to be seen if they can come up with the cash in an off-year election.

Republicans?
You'd be more likely to find t&&s on a pig's back.
I just read that if the Republicans win, they plan to have Trent Lott as Leader again. Isnt he the one that lost the leadership to the Democrats last time?
To: Poohbah
A personal anecdote here: Every election, it seems like that after the polls close, the outstate results come in and are posted right quick. The city of Detroit, on the other hand, waits until the
rest of the state is done before it starts reporting results.
Terminal incompetence or massive fraud? Either one is a realistic option.
To: who knows what evil?
If the RNC had ANY brains, they would run PSA's in key Democrat strongholds reminding citizens that voter fraud is a felony, with a subtle reminder of the jail time and fines that accompany a conviction for this CRIME.Then we'd be accused by the Democrats and their willing accomplices in the media of trying to scare people into not voting. The charge would stick, of course, due to skillful use of propaganda techniques by the Left.

Yeah, true. But I can't hold Lott responsible for Jeffords defecting. Jeffords is a pathetic waste of skin.

They need to learn to play that against the Democrats by exposing the whole thing, on a regular basis, to the public. Let me see. The Democrats own NBC,ABC,CBS,Time Warner(cnn) the New York Times, the Washington Post, the La Times, USA today, the Chicago papers, the Atlantat Constitution, the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the Detriot Free Press and all major news magazines plus nearly all the radio and TV stations in the USA and all cable channels but one are controlled by the Democrats.
Out side of the 'net in general and preaching to the choir here on FR in particular how do propose exposing them?
What part of the REPUBLICANS can only tell the PUBLIC what the MEDIA will allow them to tell the pubic escapes you?

Jeffords is a pathetic waste of skin. You forgot the other 48 liberal Senators, with Zell Miller the lone exception.

The Dimocrat Play Book hasn't changed in decades! The media would have you believe that if you think differently than the Liberal propaganda they spin, you're outside the "mainstream", but they can only be competitive if they cheat or employ creative justice with a stacked court! Sounds fair to me!

Yeah, but we can't afford to put our stock in a panty-waisted ex-cheerleader, up against the evil of the lying, cheating Demorats.
We need someone armed with the firepower, and smooth wit to pull it off. I really like the style of Kentucky senator who took on constitutionality of campaign finance, Mitch McConnell.
To: taildragger
" the Senate will come down to the Dems attempts at Voter Fraud?" This is news? I've believed that all along. Why do you think they're working so hard in all the key states to perpetrate their fraud?
To: taildragger
Geez. I thought that was pretty much a given. Most freepers have felt this way for a while now. Good thing Ashcroft is sending federal monitors to Miami-Dade and other Florida counties.

Everybody should have one (not just Democratic pollworkers)..
To: All
When they cheat the rats will let the individuals that get caught go down for it without accepting any responsability. Then the media will spin it as an isolated incident that the evil republicans are trying to use as propaganda so they can gain power and kill old people.
It is the same old play.

End run the media. One of the best things the GOP could do is to create a website devoted solely to listing current vote fraud convictions and investigations, explaining the techniques uncovered so far, and clearly illustrating the pattern of Dem vote fraud. Something like www.votefraud.com. Then plaster the TV & radio airwaves and billboards with commercials for the web site.
This bypasses the media, lets people investigate to the level of detail they desire, fuels outrage, and would dominate much of the public conversation for the next couple of weeks.

If the RNC had ANY brains, they would run PSA's in key Democrat strongholds reminding citizens that voter fraud is a felony, with a subtle reminder of the jail time and fines that accompany a conviction for this CRIME. ...Which the Demomedia would promptly turn into a P.R. disaster for the GOP. If I recall correctly, the GOP announced in the las t election cycle that they would be stationing poll watchers in certain Dem strongholds as a guard against fraud. It was immediately decried as a return to Jim Crow, given that so many of the problem areas have substantial black populations. ZIP! went the GOP, as it bid a hasty retreat.
To: hawkeyeBetsy
One of the other problems is that if a Dem gets caught cheating or some sort of voter fraud--it's usually buried in the newspapers. BUT if a Rep candidate is even hinted at wrongdoing--not to worry, it'll be on page one.
To: who knows what evil?
Here in Milwaukee, voter fraud was discovered during the presidential election in 2000. It was further discovered that they all voted for Democrats. Well, surprise, surprise, it seems our District Attorney E. Michael McCann, a liberal Democrat, did not issue any charges as to voter fraud.
