How 'bout just stop paying a fed tax period. It's voluntary to file. As for Harvard..they are nothing but a haven's nest for un-american activities. Washington D.C. is full of Harvard alumni.

Well said. I'm sorry you got to this thread late because that means I got to it late. The last I had heard about when C-SPAN was going to air our rally was that it was going to be 2-5 on Saturday. I had programmed my VCR for that time and only discovered Sunday evening that they didn't air our rally at that time. I didn't find out in time to tape the actual C-SPAN coverage of the Patriots' Rally II. :-( Is there an after action report thread? I seem to have missed that, too.

You must not read very well. The inaction/laziness I was describing was attributed to the Bush years - not the Clinton years. I know full well that the Clinton presidency lit a fire under people's preverbial @sses. My point was that with a Bush presidency ... and with many FReepers actually believing he is a conservative ... we have the current state of affairs - complacency (lots of talk, but little pavement action).

I know full well that the Clinton presidency lit a fire under people's preverbial @sses.Well aren't you the sassy one... I think I read just lovely and have for years... questioning myself I went back and read your previous post that I responded to:
"... but, when push comes to shove ... very few are willing to translate talk to action. That was true during the Clinton years. And, I suspect (due to complacency) it's even more true today with Bush in the White House."
Call me crazy, but when something is worded this way: "It was true then (Clinton years) and it's MORE TRUE today (Bush years)," well, that just led me to believe you were saying that there was little action in Clinton's day and less action now.
I guess what you meant was the fire was lit under our proverbial @sses during the Clinton years and it's even MORE lit today! Yeah, that makes sense. :)
All I was trying to present is -- what the heck good did it do then... and what the heck good would it do now? You're fooling yourself if you believe that the press is going to fairly cover anything they don't want to. I experienced that strongly and first hand... and frankly, I have things to do with my life besides spit in the wind or drop trees in the woods where there's noone to hear it. I try to educate people around me ... and I try to make a difference where I am. But the heck with "marching on Washington." We had over 4,000 there and it made not a whit of difference. I have better things to do with my time and money.
But that's prolly just me.

FYI... After seeing that CSPAN did not give correct credit to the folks who did all the work to make the rally happen, and not seeing a response on the thread to suggestions that FRN contact CSPAN to correct their misidentification, I sent CSPAN an email (as an individual member of DC Chapter) and asked that they correct the credits. Yesterday I got an email from CSPAN stating that they made a correction (as best they could, after the fact) crediting the DC Chapter of FreeRepublic.com with sponsorship of the Patriots Rally.

Accurately identifying your organization to the media would seem to be a fairly fundamental part of organizing an event.
I'm not clear on why you believe the FR Network should have corrected this oversight on the part of the DC Chapter, but I'm glad you have things straightened out.

And to think, you guys were almost civil for a day or two after we set you up on Fox & Friends...

5{t, we had been on BBC, CBC, Swiss TV, Hong Kong TV, Voice of America, Al Jazeera, etc., without your aid. But it was nice of you to forward the call from a domestic cable outlet about the Garofalos.
Thanks! You know we'd do the same for you.

Should read: By that time, we had been on...

Wow.
May I touch the hem of your garment?

All you gotta do is show up with a sign in your hands and passion in your heart--like the old days.

All you gotta do is show up with a sign in your hands and passion in your heart--like the old days. I see... you reopened this year-old thread not to take a snippy cheap shot, but to make sure I feel welcome at your events.
All is now clear.

All who support our troops and their mission are welcome at our rallies. Your not appearing at any of them (except the Citizens United rally) has been your choice.

All who support our troops and their mission are welcome at our rallies. All who support conservative activism at FR are welcome to work with the Free Republic Network...
Your not appearing at any of them (except the Citizens United rally) has been your choice.
Remarkably enough, I knew that already.
