Flores, a Gulf War veteran

The press just loves pushing the anti-military angle. They simply can't help themselves.

A general question to all Freepers(based on Dan Rather's biased newscast tonight.) It appears to me that the national media (the Big Three) are consciuosly, consistently but implictly launching a campaign against guns and gun owners. OK, OK I've stated the obvious here.

Is anyone documenting the examples of this insidious ploy to do away with the Second Amendment? Dates, times and specific statements need to be documented to resist the gun grabbers when they begin to move a majority of the American sheep, aka public, to begin pushing for repeal of the Second Amendment. General statements and rationalizations are not the tools to attack the enemy here. You cannot fight illogic with generalities. You must be consistent and undisputedly factual.

Is there a national service that documents media statements in this area? If anyone knows of any such organizations, and I don't mean the NRA, please provide with the websites.

I don't mean to offend anyone with the comment about the NRA but they have lost a great deal of credibility in the east in recent years and other organizations are needed to speak for people who believe in self defense.

There is a push to prove that Gulf war veterans have had health and depression problems- Nursing school is enough to crack even a tough nut- they will break your spirit- then wonder why they have a shortage- I work in critical care and they are always quizzing what you are doing so the students don't hurt the patients- if he had an ego problem- it most likely made him mad - he just snapped a gourd! Most unfortunate for all.

He was just a very aggravated student, a rude, obnoxious type of person," she said. "He came across as very aggressive and mean, and seemed to have a lot of issues with being angry"

Not exactly nurse material, IMHO...I'd very much like to know whether drug use was involved.

Too true, SEE "Another Mass Murder in a Place Where Guns Aren't Allowed"
@ http://www.claytoncramer.com/weblog/2002_10_27_archive.html#83676460
QUOTE
See here for a picture of the sign declaring that the University of Arizona does not allow guns on its premises. And here's an opinion piece in the University of Arizona student paper by a fetching young lady named Rachel Alexander arguing that this is a bad policy. Unfortunately, mass murderers don't pay attention to those signs. Only their victims do.

I'm not saying that for sure repealing this policy would have prevented this crime. But it certainly the case that the situation could not have been any worse. If a student or a professor with a concealed weapon permit had shot this guy in the first five seconds of this spree, at least one or two of the dead would still be alive. UNQUOTE.
THEN OPEN HIS LINK TO;

"The regents' anti-self-defense policy" By Rachel Alexander

The sign and article he linked to is quite amusing too. I wonder if anyone will interview the nice policeman?

I think it was tomkat who said, "An armed society is a polite society". I've always loved the simple truth in those words . . .
