Not sure he had sufficient evidence that the teen intended to rob the store. If merely carrying a weapon into the store was sufficient evidence, then someone should've pulled a gun on him
And coming real close to shooting the teen, who hadn't made a move for his gun, was downright abysmally stupid.

I'm with you. There is no way I'd pull my gun out and play hero. If it looked hinky to me, I'd leave the store, and go call the cops from across the street. This guy's lucky he didn't get killed. If the store owner doesn't have a gun, that's his problem, not mine. Maybe that sounds callous to some people, but personally, I'd only pull out a gun to save my life, the life of a family member, or the life of a friend. Everyone else is on their own; it's simply too much of a risk to take for someone I don't know and love.
