The original report, published on July 26, claimed that the California family court system was "pathologizing, punishing and discriminating against women." Child custody practices were particularly excoriated.

To reach this conclusion, the report had to ignore data demonstrating that "in the 1970's and 80's ... women had sole custody of the children approximately 85 percent of the time ... More recent data sets indicate that father custody figures may be closer to 15 percent." Instead, the report relied on a miniscule, biased sampling, hyperbolic language and such shoddy methodology that no quantitative or qualitative breakdown of statistics was rendered in the 132-page document.

The fanatical leftist sued Operation rescue out of existance under RICO.

Does this mean the Justice Department can go after the ACLU under the RICO statutes?

We expect powerful stuff from Wendy McElroy and we always seem to get it. She's dead on that the stormtroopers at N.O.W. are using RICO to crush liberty and dissent. When the Left has gutted the Bill of Rights, the only "freedom" left will be kissing the Pharaoh's feet.

We should go after the Democratic Party using RICO. Its violating Republicans' rights in California.

Scary stuff. No wonder families are breaking apart and kids are growing up a mess. Kids have no rights and fathers should be sued into submission, according to these so-called "women's rights" supporters.

But CA NOW wants to use the RICO Act to criminalize dissent on custody matters.
Of course NOW does. “They” did it with abortion, might as well move on to the next set of victims.

This one is a little outside my usual bumplist. I think this is a sign of things to come for all conservative faiths, we will all be sued under RICO for this and that if this type of lawsuit keeps succeeding.

This is a dangerous posture for CA NOW. Questions could too easily be asked about its own financing.

NOW has absolutely no credibility whatsoever!

Unfortunately, you don't need to be credible to prevail in such an endeavor.

++RICO, the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, was meant to fight against organized crime by allowing those harmed financially by a pattern of crime to bring action in state or federal court for damages amounting to three times their actual harm, plus costs. But CA NOW wants to use the RICO Act to criminalize dissent on custody matters.++

Thanks for the Ping!

We all need to pray that these dads who need help do not get totalled by NOW.

The key to the RICO thing is that a crime has to have been committed. If there is no pattern of "crime," it would not apply.

This action is like when Harley Davidson tried to legally protect the potato-potato sound their motorcyces made.

It's a publicity stunt. They ARE desperate!

Unbelievable. Their first effort was too goofy and so is their second. Now, they're threatening everyone who might want to point out the obvious --- that their shit stinks.
