Major rock-star aplause as Lieberman and Fritz Mondale enter togeather.
Chorus singing LOVE TRAIN
Jesse Jackson shaking hands with Hillary. Bill all smiles, applauding.
C'mon, join hands!...........on a love train!
To: DoctorMichael
I'm so happy that Sen. Wellstone is being remembered with taste and decorum. (sarcasmoff/)
This is a freakin' pep rally, and anyone even associated with this sideshow is absolutely and totally morally bankrupt.
God, these people will even cheer the Wooden One.
To: DoctorMichael
This is a bunch of
cr@p. This is not a memorial service. This is free political advertising brought to you by CSPAN and the DRats.
To: freedom1st
It's obscene!
To: DoctorMichael
I'am I the only one or is this really really SICK !!!!!
To: DoctorMichael
What the heck...? So far I think this is nothing but another DemocRATic convention to nominate Mondale!

Oh, good, I was hoping there was a thread. Husband refuses to watch, but I see from the photos that everyone is overcome with grief.
Blech.
To: Irish Eyes
You are not alone. I can't believe the music. This is so totally inappropriate.

Gee, one would think that they would at least PRETEND to be sorrowful! Look at Hillary...she looks transfigured with joy!!
To: DoctorMichael
remember this is NOT a political rally </sarcasm
To: DoctorMichael
When I saw the thread, I tuned to CSPAN. My first reaction: "I must have the wrong channel."
Why? Because they were playing this loud pop music. Totally inappropriate for a memorial service. What the heck is going on here?

Ye gods...this is
MEMORIAL SERVICE???? I am shocked beyond belief...and and jaded as I am, that is no easy task. I just hope that many others are as disgusted as I am by this horrid display. Smiling like this after a man's family has been ripped apart!
To: Miss Marple
Truly nauseating, isn't it? It's old home week for the DNC. I just turned it on a little while ago. My husband is going to have a fit when he comes in here and sees this. Don't think he'll let it stay on long...

You're not the only one. I'm actually relieved that the VP was snubbed - imagine the response he would receive from the double digit crowd in the audience.
It's not surprising the democRATS act this way at a 'memorial' - just another stiff helping them to grab power.

Singers; "Hold on! Change is comin'. Everything gonna be alright. Lalalalalalalalalala. Don't you worry".
To: dittomom
I will only get to see it if hubby goes to bed early. I hope those watching will report on the speeches and music.
Surely Minnesota will be horified at this.

This Democrat Convention, oh I mean memorial service for Paul Wellstone is on every single local channel. If it keeps up the way it is, I will be calling all the networks later this evening demanding equal time for the Republican Party
To: Miss Marple; JRandomFreeper; Neets
Overcome with glee, is more like it!!!
They are all mugging when the camera shows them on Fanavision in the arena...not even trying to fake a solemn event...
Applauding the Dem elites at a 'memorial service' is a bit tawdry, dontcha think???
To: dittomom
All the democrap senators are parading in like they are conquering heros...

You should see it! This is not Memorial Service but a campaign rally for Mondale. I hope every citizen of Minnesota sees this! I am totally appalled and even Daschle looks very uncomfortable!
To: DoctorMichael
Am I crazy, or are these people HAPPY that Wellstone is dead?
They're certainly acting like it.

They are using the Fanavision? Yikes! Tackier and tackier.
Let us contrast with the September 15 Memorial Service that Laura Bush planned at the National Cathedral.
This sounds like a travesty.
To: hole_n_one

Dancing on the grave. This event is unspeakable!

It is time for the repubs to take the gloves off!!! This looks like the 76 Demoratic convention!!!

This is a memorial service for a man, his wife and daughter and five others who died in a horrible accident.
I doubt the music being played was Wellstone's favorite. But even if it was, I don't think it's appropriate for such an event.
Have a read of the other comments posted here. The consensus is that the tone that is being struck is just wrong.
