What a bunch of left-wing cowards. Their discomfort was obviously not very acute, was it??? Who stayed with the debacle for over three hours? They are all just covering their a**es.
Nuff said.

"But that's like expecting us to be completely cynical and assume from the start that the Wellstone family and the Democrats are lying to us about what's going to happen."
Oh, that's ok. Republicans weren't surprised at all. If Clinton can laugh and joke at Ron Brown's funeral, a little matter like the death of a Senator shouldn't keep other RATS from having a good time either.

I want to send this to every idiot radio talk show host I heard yesterday trying to spin this one in favor of "this is what Wellstone would have wanted", and "the media could have pulled out at any time". Looks like the WCCO people wanted to do just that.

LOL! Kind of reminds you of someone "outraged" at a porn film but watches the whole thing to make sure they didn't miss anything.

Anyone else suspect democrats will be doing Wellstone memorial celebrations this time every year ?

Best news I've heard: 55% saw this on broadcast channels! There's no spinning this one folks!

The only thing wrong with this report is the thought that Lott won't accept it and smile. The man has no forward gear in his transmission.

Baloney on the article; I would put money on the Dems giving a heads up to the media.

KSTP's Randy Meier used the same word. "I feel hoodwinked by what happened. I was extremely uncomfortable with the shift in tone and said at one point that we ought to seriously consider pulling the plug. But at that point, the keynote speaker, (Iowa Senator) Tom Harkin, was still yet to come." Gee! Wouldn't we all like to have a "keynote speaker" at our funeral services.

Asked whether local reporters should have expected something more than hymns and sentimental reminiscences amid a crowd of 20,000 political partisans, Shelby replied, "But that's like expecting us to be completely cynical and assume from the start that the Wellstone family and the Democrats are lying to us about what's going to happen."
Yeah, well, almost anyone at FreeRepublic could have told him from the start what to expect.

Equal Time isn't necessary. The damage to the Dems is done, and retaining the disparity leaves their duplicity for all to see, and none to excuse. Otherwise, the Lefties can say, "See? It's okay, they got equal time."

I know there was some poll info released yesterday but, they were probably taken before the effect of the DNC concert has settled in with everybody. Has there been any polls taken in the last 24 hours?? Hopefully, Fritz the owl will be damaged by this and he will have the crooks at the DNC and the guy who used to nail his daughter to thank for it.

Reporters IN the arena saw THIS, as reported in the Minneapolis paper this morning:
"Mourners" milled about concession stands, chattering and cheering as they bought hot dogs and soft drinks.
Do you think that perhaps someone could have gotten a clue? How many memorial services include CONCESSION STANDS? And perhaps the jolly joking of both Clintons, Terry McAuliffe, Mondale, and Jesse Jackson mught have given them a hint of what was to come. Heck, WE all knew what was going to happen (although even I was stunned at the magnitude of the vulgarity) but these anchors couldn't figure it out? Please!

You know it's bad when a liberal feels some shame.
KARE anchor Paul Magers echoed those feelings. "Up until Kahn, I thought it was fine. But there's no question he took it over the top and ran another couple miles with it. It made me very uncomfortable. I was feeling very small in my chair."

I agree. It speaks for itself. Now the whole country can see for themselves what we have been saying all along about the Dems' lack of respect and dignity for the human race.
