Asked whether local reporters should have expected something more than hymns and sentimental reminiscences amid a crowd of 20,000 political partisans, Shelby replied, "But that's like expecting us to be completely cynical and assume from the start that the Wellstone family and the Democrats are lying to us about what's going to happen."

Don is really close to smelling the coffee here. I would love to call in to his 'CCO show, read him this quote, and ask him to substitute "Republicans" for "the Wellstone family and the Democrats" in the a above sentence.

His answer is pure desparate spin from a local glib lib news anchor, and we cynical RAT catchers know this. Someone please steal this idea and call Don to illustrate his bias, for I am cubicle bound!

""We were hoodwinked and embarrassed in the process," says WCCO anchor Don Shelby, emphasizing that his remarks are strictly personal opinion."

Suuure you were!

Actually, the news service did America a favor by not pulling the plug on this debauched democrat idea of a memorial for their dearly departed.

I'm thinking the democrat party already has a lot of voters departing it, voluntarily, after viewing this despicable spectacle.

Nothing can imprint upon the eyes of the beholder the lasting vivid imagery of democrat snobbery, hateful sneering, booing, crude laughter, jostling for rock star attention and all out disrespect for common decency than what was touted as a Wellstone Memorial Service aka, Get Out the Democrat Vote Fun Fest.

We saw it with Bill Clinton after Ron Brown's funeral service, and we saw it again. Yes, the unfiltered, unedited, media camera does not lie. Let it roll so that TRUTH can blaze it's brilliant trail across our minds, while democrat leaders cry real tears as they see their poll numbers plumment into a sea of tears.

Kind of reminds you of someone "outraged" at a porn film

and "Shocked! Shocked, to find that gambling is going on in Rick's Cafe!"

Excuse me, but, why would I want to watch this obscenity when I tuned it out the first time they got into politics?
These people are vile, disgusting and without Souls as are those who follow them. How dare they use a "memorial" for a political rally?

Dear Minnesota news producers: Here at FreeRepublic, many of us knew exactly what was going to happen at the "memorial service". Perhaps you should consider advertising for employment here.

I have no idea what "News Blues" is. But Brian Lambert is a lefty leaning media critic for the Saint Paul Pioneer Press.

Here is a link to the same article from that souce: BRIAN LAMBERT: Service's changing tone left TV stations 'hoodwinked'

Democrats have no shame:

If Clinton can laugh and joke at Ron Brown's funeral, a little matter like the death of a Senator shouldn't keep other RATS from having a good time either.

"Legally, there isn't much chance he will get it because, technically speaking, there was no actual candidate speaking."

Boy, oh boy, these 'RATs are as clever as the devil. They didn't officially nominate Mondale until the following day, so to avoid the justified request for equal time. However, at the "memorial", they urged people to vote for the non-candidate. Sick, sick, sick.

What disturbs me is that so many of my fellow Americans cannot see the evil in this. That makes them evil. What do we do with a country, where 40% of the people are amoral, evil, totalitarians? This is becoming really dangerous.

These guys in TV media are already "small in their chairs" as they are 84% RAT voters and do all they can to promote RAT causes, including the "memorial rally." To allege that they should have pulled the plug is yet another asinine media statement. They had no intention of pulling the plug on their heros! RATS are scum!

Exactly correct harps, the Republicans could not have done a better job of showing what a bunch of Clymers democrats are.

Talk about your non sequiturs. I would think that, being bound by good taste, they would have pulled the plug. It was a sheer embarrassment.

Democrats have no shame:

But they have the stolen FBI files and TOTAL control of the Courts and the IRS.

Therefore, they functionally control the USA and have
elected to deny US citizens progress and access to homeland security since the 911 Atrocities.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me!

Let's see what his expectations are about DemocRats, from now on.

I'm amazed that the "personal opinions" all seem to use the word "hoodwinked". Not exactly a commonly used description anymore. Sounds like they had a meeting before responding to the storm they welcomed in (for ratings, no doubt).

Yeah, well, they carried that travesty...but remember when the networks wouldn't carry Bush's speech on Iraq a few weeks ago...because it wasn't "newsworthy" enough?

They "knew" that the Iraq speech wasn't substantive enough for them beforehand, but they got "fooled" by the "he's dead, let's win" rally?

That stench the networks are starting to smell is their own bias. It's rank enough to have knocked everyone else out years ago.
