Man hurt on way to SF peace rally is dead
Associated Press ^ | October 31, 2002

Posted on 10/31/2002 12:46:45 PM PST by Sweet_Sunflower29

A Marin County man has died of head injuries he suffered while heading for that big weekend peace rally in San Francisco.

Two people were hurt when they hit their heads on a San Francisco building overhang after sticking their heads out of a skylight on a converted double-deck bus.

Officials at San Francisco General Hospital say Tony Hernandez died yesterday.

Diane Canning of Sebastopol remains in critical condition.

The bus had been converted by welding part of a V-W microbus on the roof. The skylight was in the V-W portion.

Q. What was the first thing that went through their head when they stood up in the bus?

A. A building.

Even if they didn't vote absentee, someone will vote for them as that's what they would of wanted.

I'm sure he's already cast an absentee ballot in the 2004 presidential election. Terry McAuliffe just has to fill in the candidate's name.

I really don't get any pleasure from hearing about the untimely deaths of anyone. But that is pretty damn ironic. The peace rally destination is one irony. The other is: what the hell is the deal with hippies and those stinking VW vans? They're still reusing old peices of VW vans?

Probably either Usama Bin Laden, Terry McCauliffe or the French Government-who or what else sees unilateral surrender to terrorism as our only choice?

The pair were rushed to San Francisco General Hospital, where they were both listed in critical condition with massive head injuries.

IMHO, these two will be Darwin Award winners very shortly........

I smell a Darwin Award.

Without a doubt, this is the latest prospect/suspect for this year's Darwin Award. However, this is not bizarre enough to actually win. This is normal behavior for these SF types. This guy may not even finish in the top 10, but he is definitely a candidate.

he now is the Headless Protestman.
