Regards, Billthedrill. For what it's worth, I take no joy in being right about these matters. IT's not the sort of world, nor is it the sort of struggle that I would wish for our twins or for anyone else's children for that matter.

But the good news is that we're alive and well and aware. We've done a pretty good job in raising our kids to be philosophers, warriors and soverign individuals. We're prepared to teach, work and to fight as honor, duty and conscience command. As another poster mentioned, 'sometimes the dragon wins.'

I have always had my doubts that Hitler was the brain behind the nazi party. History suggests that he was just a figure head of sorts. The true evil of the party was below the surface.

I doubt it (no, not a flame here). If Hitler was just a figurehead, he would not have been able to screw up the German military in WW2. For example, the Luftwaffe was about to wage a very effective campaign of destroying RAF bases, but Hitler wanted revenge for the bombing of Berlin, so he changed the plans to bomb London. This led to the rallying of the then rag tag RAF which fought off the Luftwaffe, and still had their bases left intact.

Ditto for the invasion of the Soviet Union - the generals repeatedly warned him about the Russian winter and he refused to listen.

Hitler had Napoleon disease.

Every now and then, the make a mistake and the mask slips. Once these monsters cross the line from mere political power to absolute power - and make no mistake, that's what they seek - they won't hesitate to resort to the sort of 'final solutions' we've seen before. Mass murder, human degradation and impoverishment are articles of faith with the Left.

That "memorial service" made it clear the Democrats are looking for a martyr, and if they can't find one they'll invent one. Particularly disturbing were the repeated, impassioned, empty calls for "justice, equality, protection, salvation, etc." - as if their opponents are actively & deliberately seeking the opposite. There was no platform of ideas, no expression of principles, no respect for their political opponents, just hours of screaming, podium-pounding "we have a martyr, now get the hell out of our way."

The chants of "We Will Win!" over and over had exactly the same tone as "Heil Hitler!" during that rally.

Actually, "Sieg heil" is a remarkably close approximation to what was shouted at the rally. The whole operation was so nazi-like, it made my skin crawl.

Fortunately, we have guns, while they have small numbers of storm troopers of dubious loyalty and effectiveness.
