MINNESOTA MELTDOWN (Labor Unions Bussed Members To The RALLY)
New York Post | 11/01/02

Posted on 11/01/2002 3:07:43 AM PST by kattracks

November 1, 2002 --

That was some "memorial service" the Minnesota Democratic Party threw for the late Sen. Paul Wellstone the other night.

It started out dignified enough, with eulogies and poignant anecdotes.

But then it degenerated into a hysterical partisan pep rally in which speakers demanded that the GOP sit back and permit Wellstone's designated successor, former veep Walter Mondale, to take Tuesday's election by default.

This, after the Democrats - who'd called for a campaign moratorium until Wednesday - excoriated the Republicans for just raising the issue of campaign debates this weekend between Mondale and GOP candidate Norm Coleman.

Talk about hypocrisy!

It was, as former Rep. Vin Weber said, "a complete, total, absolute sham," adding that for Minnesota Democrats, "Wellstone's death, apparently, was just another campaign event."

No wonder even some Democratic officials are apologizing for an event they now concede went way over the top.

That the event was meant to be more than a simple memorial service was apparent when it was learned that labor unions were busing members to the rally, which was attended by some 20,000 people.

And forget about putting aside partisanship so that all those gathered - Republicans as well as Democrats - could share their sorrow at Wellstone's untimely death: When Republicans, like Sen. Trent Lott, appeared on the giant screens, the crowd erupted into jeers and catcalls.

Not to mention the fact that Wellstone's family publicly disinvited Vice President Dick Cheney - at least in part because of his strong public support of Coleman's candidacy.

Little wonder, then, that the most partisan of Democrats - Bill Clinton - was seen cheering the speakers on and pumping his fist in the air. He didn't bother wasting time with his trademark bite-the-lip sign of feigned grief.

Given that the event was broadcast live throughout Minnesota (and nationally on C-SPAN), it amounted to little more than a free, three-hour campaign commercial.

That Paul Wellstone himself would have loved it is beside the point; he was, after all, one of the most enthusiastically partisan members of the U.S. Senate.

The fact remains that, for all their protestations of outrage at the other side, behind their tears the Democrats were cynically engaged in politics as usual.

Here's hoping they pay a price for it at the polls Tuesday.

Look out! I see two, no three, black helicopters hovering over the polling booths in Puking Buzzard's Gulch. I have it on good authority that the election is going to be decided by an old mining burro owned by the ex boy friend of a former girlfriend of an ex butler at a catering service that delivered pizza to the Clinton Whithouse.

This is verified by an interstellar communication I got from my friends on Beta E Ray in the Andromeda star system.

Got to give credit to Rush Limbaugh on this one...he nailed it the day after the Wellstone "memorial" service by stating that labor unions had people bussed in for this event.

Don't they usually have a "mosh pit" or something like that at these events?

I have a hunch the labor union people were regaled with free beer and hot dogs at a tailgate party prior to the memorial rally. This is SOP. They were probably all 4 -12 workers who also got a paid day off work.

I was thinking that the furor over this service would die down before the weekend, but looks like this is going to percolate all the way up to the election and even beyond. Tacky, very tacky.

Do you think leftists in this country realize what murderers the Clintonistas are? When do you think Russian Communists finally realized in their hearts what Stalin really was?

Cui bono? (1) Wellstone was a candidate who was in trouble and who might well have lost the election. Why not improve the Dems' chances? (2) Wellstone was a maverick Dem in the Senate, as he had just shown again by voting against the Iraq resolution. Why not make an example of him? (3) Wellstone's tragic death was a golden opportunity for the Dems to nationalize the Senate elections and reenergize their unenthusiastic leftist base for those elections.

Don't forget. The Clintons have a history of this. What do you make of the Clinton body count?

Continuing to pray with you, Freedom ... may the Lord render the Clintons and ALL their minions ...

powerless and voiceless and useless and nameless and faceless and homeless and penniless ...

may they be stripped bare before the world, left nothing but their immortal souls, and it's for these souls that I pray for eternal salvation ...

labor unions were busing members to the rally, which was attended by some 20,000 people.

"...But, if these so-called "progressives" feel content to entertain this conspiracy, then perhaps they should look inward, there are many presidential aspirants in the Democratic party, like Hillary Clinton, who will benefit greatly from the death of Wellstone."

I usupected as much when I heard the numbers they were expecting. Now I want to know: did these people get paid time off to attend and who paid for the buses? And if the unions paid for the transpo, what about union members who are Pubbies or didn't want their dues going for this?

Yes it is. Much bigger. The Wellstone children simply do not understand with whom they are dealing. But they can be forgiven - not many others do either.

But there ARE people who DO understand. I pray that some of those people might possibly be in the Bush administration.

Your comments reflect ignorance of what has transpired during the Clinton crime years (which still continue). Investigate for yourself the deaths of those whose absence at just the right time enabled the First Crime Family to get into and remain in power and then come back and speak intelligently on the subject.

"Do you think leftists in this country realize what murderers the Clintonistas are?"

Some do and do not care. Others do and are afraid of them. Others - the "masses" - do not know. They cannot imagine American "politicians" who commit murder - and get away with it (or so they think) - in order to achieve and maintain power.

Most Americans have never really studied Communism or Totalitarianism and have no idea the lengths to which those who lust for power will go to achieve that power. Most Americans are so long divorced from reality that they do not understand either the depths of depravity of man or the history of that depravity in the halls of "political" power in the world's history. America's uusually "nonviolent" political tradition is an anomaly. It is the manifestation and culmination of centuries of Judeo-Christian influence on Western Civilization. Many Americans think we are still under the domination of our Western Civilization foundations - and we are in many areas. But not in the hearts and minds of pure Marxist / Leninist / Stalinist totalitarians such as the Clintons. Hillary is the Stalinist. Bill is the Organized Crime Thug (as was his Uncle) with Communist leanings nourished in Moscow when our nation was at war with Communism! Perfect match. She has the "politics of meaning" - and he has the criminal mind. They both lust for power as no American politicians before them have EVER lusted. And, sadly, they have sold their souls for this power and they will reap the consequences. And of course many have died from their evil and many more will suffer and die because evil always has consequences...touches real people...brings real sorrow.

Only by God's grace!!!!! and mercy!!!! and, I imagine, the prayer and grit of many we don't know about - have those consequences been limited in scope...up to this point.

"When do you think Russian Communists finally realized in their hearts what Stalin really was?"

That is a very good question. I don't think the true communists CARED what Stalin was....as long as they were not touched. Today's communists certainly do not CARE what Stalin was. And they do not care what Hillary is. As long as they are not touched. But if we could just bring Vince Foster before us or Ron Brown before us or Mr. Carnahan before us or Paul Wellstone before us ------ and ask them if they care NOW about what Hillary and Bill Clinton (America's Stalinists) ARE --- I think we would get a different answer, don't you?

You know another person I wish we could bring before us to give a "testiomony" about the fact that Communists are, indeed, KILLERS - is Whitaker Chambers.

If there is anybody reading this who doubts the lengths to which the Clinton Communist Crime Syndicate will go / has gone to achieve and maintain power - they should read "Witness" by Whitaker Chambers.

They should also read another book: "Coming Out of the Ice".

They should probably also read about the Dixie Mafia and Bill Clinton's Uncle who headed that "nifty" Crime Syndicate. People may be infatuated with "The Sopranos" fiction. I am not particularly enthralled by people who regularly kill(ed) those who "pissed them off" or "got in their way" or "squealed" (told the truth) about their crimes.

As far as Stalin again - even today - he is admired in certain circles. His murder and enslavement of multiplied millions, as the Communist thug henchmen ruler of the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe means NOTHING to those who still think the communist ideal is "right".

The question I want to ask - to the skeptics - is this:

Why would it be impossible for an American "politician" who lusts for power to kill those who stand in his / her way to reaching their goals?

And, finally, if there existed a trail of death associated with the path ANY OTHER AMERICAN such as there exists associated with the path of Bill and HIllary Clinton, who could deny that ANY OTHER AMERICAN would become the target of serial murder investigations on the order of the recent sniper investigations????

Just forget that the Clintons are politicans and look at the trail of death and then decide: DOESN'T THIS TRAIL OF DEATH DESERVE THE SAME INVESTIGATION THAT WOULD OCCUR IF IT FOLLOWED ANY "ORDINARY" AMERICAN????

Your prayers continue to mean a great deal! Many thanks!!!

And, yes, Amen to your prayer for the wickedness that is in high places in this country. The highest.

Here is Psalm 94 again - there are so many that apply to our situation today:

Psalm 94
1 O LORD , the God who avenges,
O God who avenges, shine forth.
2 Rise up, O Judge of the earth;
pay back to the proud what they deserve.
3 How long will the wicked, O LORD ,
how long will the wicked be jubilant?

4 They pour out arrogant words;
all the evildoers are full of boasting.
5 They crush your people, O LORD ;
they oppress your inheritance.
6 They slay the widow and the alien;
they murder the fatherless.
7 They say, "The LORD does not see;
the God of Jacob pays no heed."

8 Take heed, you senseless ones among the people;
you fools, when will you become wise?
9 Does he who implanted the ear not hear?
Does he who formed the eye not see?
10 Does he who disciplines nations not punish?
Does he who teaches man lack knowledge?
11 The LORD knows the thoughts of man;
he knows that they are futile.

12 Blessed is the man you discipline, O LORD ,
the man you teach from your law;
13 you grant him relief from days of trouble,
till a pit is dug for the wicked.
14 For the LORD will not reject his people;
he will never forsake his inheritance.
15 Judgment will again be founded on righteousness,
and all the upright in heart will follow it.

16 Who will rise up for me against the wicked?
Who will take a stand for me against evildoers?
17 Unless the LORD had given me help,
I would soon have dwelt in the silence of death.
18 When I said, "My foot is slipping,"
your love, O LORD , supported me.
19 When anxiety was great within me,
your consolation brought joy to my soul.

20 Can a corrupt throne be allied with you-
one that brings on misery by its decrees?
21 They band together against the righteous
and condemn the innocent to death.
22 But the LORD has become my fortress,
and my God the rock in whom I take refuge.
23 He will repay them for their sins
and destroy them for their wickedness;
the LORD our God will destroy them.

We can rest on the sure and certain promises of God.

I'm thinking about having a memorial service for Wellstone up at my local bar tonight. Nothing special, just a bunch of drunks shouting obscenities at the top of their voices and puking in the bathroom sink. The usual Friday night thing

It's not much, but at least it will be dignified, compared to that hootenanny they had on teevee last week.

If I can find a Shirley Temple wig, maybe I'll do my own special tribute to Wellstone's heartbroken son.
